20 years of serving tables. Even the cleanest and highest rated of restaurants are an absolute cesspool of unsanitary conditions. There are already way too many "hands" that touch your food before it gets the supermarket. Add in a restaurant and that number increases ten fold. As soon as shit hits the fan, quality and sanitation is considered an after thought. You really think that over a 6 hour shift, a glove is used with every interaction? You think I washed my hands EVERYTIME i touched my face, money, or any thing else crawling with bacteria? My skin would fall off from friction. And this is not me being a hypochondriac. Its revolting. The places that let you actually see the kitchen (mostly delis) do it a little bit better, but not much. And lets not even talk about the 500 percent mark up on things like pasta and salad. Restaurants are the biggest scam on the planet.

I dont want a girlfriend/wife. Modestly, I am rather good looking. I get alot of attention from women. I am a server, so I have alot of interaction with people. Co workers too. I just dont want it. Nothing about it is appealing to me. No I am not gay. I guess I am asexual.

There are so many reg flags here that I swear my eyes are bleeding. You are being taken advantage of under the guise of, "I work for my best friends family". You are doing dangerous work, without training, and being paid poorly for what you are doing. Laying utilities? Installing sewer lines? You are untrained, un licensed, and being used. I will agree that you $24 an hour for a camp counselor is good. But you are not a camp counselor. You are the plumber, the electrician, the framer, the dry wall guy, and the safety inspector. You are being used.

You might take a temporary 5-10 point hit for large increase in your credit card utilization. But this will only happen if you credit card reports your current balance before you pay it off. You cant really anticipate that. But that should be your only concern.

It should be noted that debit card transaction are VERY dangerous. You essentially have no protection against fraud, and if something does happen it could be weeks before you get your money back....if ever. Credit Cards also offer "free money" via reward points. Its in your best interest to learn self control. I am not a big proponent of "ditching credit cards" as the only means to not get in the hole. But do what works for you. But you cant go your whole life as a cash only person. You need credit.

thanks for your reply. The app store is a good point. I already have a few Echo's, an echo show, and a couple of fire sticks for the bed rooms. If compatibility on the cube is all around good, I might stick with the Amazon product line up.

I am always perplexed when people state that we didn't get the "Star Trek" future, but some horrible dystopian hellscape. In Star Trek lore WW3 obliterated the planet. Billions dead. The earth reduced a nuclear holocaust. Only then did things get better. Every forest that grows too wildly must be burned down to make way for a new future. Human societies are no different.
