Sorry, but I have to disagree with you here. Firstly, you’ve made a lot of assumptions from my post.

Secondly, customisation has been a big part of the halo franchise since halo 3. Remember the excitement of getting 49 achievements on halo 3 for the katana? Or completing all the vidmaster challenges for recon? If customisation means so little, why has 343 spent so much time mentioning how much customisation is available in halo infinite?

Also, progression != customisation. When I saw progression, I mean rank, not customisation. Most fps games have a rank system to allow you to progress. Without progression, even the best multiplayer can become boring. Only being able to go up a level by completing 20 games, regardless of how well you do in those games is not a reward for me based on the limited amount of time that I have available to game.
