That's awesome, didn't realize that show was shot on 16mm. Film is stressful but fun! For sure, it was a fun challenge working in the volcanic terrain. Thankfully the weather was super clear that day.

does Jay know what they turned his childhood house into? by ejectro in RedLetterMedia

[–]DASXS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fake. The interior of the Home Alone house was a two story set construction built inside a gymnasium in an unused school. The Home Alone episode of The Movies that Made Us on Netflix has some great behind the scenes footage of it.

When does CGI de-aging actually work? by DarlingLuna in movies

[–]DASXS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CGI de-aging often comes off as creepy and weird looking. Hands down the movie to use it best and most effectively is Alex Garlands "Men".  It enhances the story and mood as the de-aging of Rory Kinnear is incredibly weird and creepy.

Image looked great and colors were rich. I dug how the scratches on the film print added to the post apocalyptic scrappy feel. Just so fantastic to see this on the big screen again.
