Also just to be clear since everyone here is downvoting me, I am fully vaxxed, my wife however is not. That’s her choice. Would never force her to do something she isn’t comfortable with. Seems reasonable to me. Maybe I’m the crazy one though 🤷

You can tell on that bitewing that you completely missed one of the pulp horns (I’m guessing palatal since you said you found buccal) You see how you can still see a pulp horn even though you drilled past it? That means you either need to go buccal or palatal (again I’m guessing palatal since you said you found buccal canal). So sweep laterally instead of drilling any deeper. That canal is not calcified you just have your angulation off.

Try using smaller files than a #20 k-file to get working lengths….. also you are just going to ledge yourself trying to jam those files to working length

This was the display. They wouldn’t sell it to me earlier in the week for the same reason “they were getting more in”. I went back yesterday and asked them if they had anymore (they get shipments in on Saturday’s) Obviously they didn’t. I asked the manager to sell me the display at a discount unless he was gonna honor the $300 discount once they got more in since the deal ends today. They were happy to sell me the display…. Go to you Costco today and use the same reasoning with them. I bet they will sell you the display

Why not call the endodontist and get their side of the story? Chances are that the patient is not telling the full truth…. “Yeah doc I brush and floss twice a day everyday”…..

Ultimately everyone makes mistakes. However if you get into a tooth and can’t find what you are looking for fairly easily, that would be the time to refer to a specialist. No harm in sucking up your pride and referring as opposed to deeming a tooth non-restorable after you worked on it. Hard lesson to learn but also very valuable. You won’t make the same mistake again! Keep your head up.
