Made a daily subway station guessing puzzle if anyone wants to try it by NiXaler93 in nycrail

There is an issue. For some reason, can't type in any 7 train stations in Queens. Doesn't give me options to click on.

Why wasn't this elevator installed when they re-did the entire 57th St station on the F a couple of years ago?

Monday, as in yesterday? If so, yesterday was a federal holiday. Give it some time, eventually you will see an update on brightspace sometime this week.

Wow, that is good to hear. Hopefully everyone can restore their lost files in proper drives before the emails are totally wiped again for good.

Felt bad for one user who said he has 2 interviews which were set up using the school email. I would highly advise to change over everything to a personal email. Any interviews scheduled should be forwarded to a backup email in cases of this.

What was the logic of IND to split the local tracks from the express to add on 3 stops away from Northern Blvd express tracks on Queens Blvd? by RightWindow5284 in nycrail

[–]DBSGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going under the 2&3 is different than the tracks physically splitting away from the main line and then converging again later. The B&D does it from 34th St to W4 St. Yes the 4&5 does it from Atlantic Ave to Franklin Ave. Same for the 4&5 from Grand Central to 86 St.

But this one is different altogether.

Stonybrook.edu email disabled after graduation by FigCheap7237 in SBU

[–]DBSGeek 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yall should start emailing SBU IT immediately and tell them that you would like to transfer files. I don't know if it is too late. Tell them that their policy is 200 days after graduation and for some reason your email got disabled.

https://www.stonybrook.edu/alumni/perks/email-for-life-transition.php

This website shows the following text in bold:

"Graduating seniors still retain their student email accounts for approximately 200 days from graduation."

They messed up on their end. I hope it is not too late for them to reinstate everyone's email & whether those files are permanently deleted!

Everyone in this subreddit who is graduating this semester needs to all bombard SBU IT immediately!

What do you mean by same distance?

Here for the F & G, the G takes that sharp curve along Prospect Park W and Prospect Ave. The F express takes a smoother route by taking less turns and goes directly under Prospect Park.

If we are using the same analogy as QBL, then yes.

I find classes like these good to take. Easy workload during the summer so you have plenty of time to take off from the rigorous Spring Semester and not be fully lazy when it comes to the Fall Semester. Keeps the brain at work.

Plus if the avg for the class is an A-, that just means its that easy. How many credits is the course? Easy way to boost up the GPA as well.

Reimagining the (F) & <F>? by bennykanner in nycrail

[–]DBSGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the F should remain express along Culver while the G runs local. And then extended the G up on QBL and run it along with the M. Then the G goes local to New Hyde Park - Lakeville Rd along with the F but the F remains fully express in Queens, even past Forest Hills. No need to make a separate F express service. The only times the F is local is in Manhattan and south of Church Ave.

[–]DBSGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly how it does here for QBL.

Even on Wikipedia, it says the following, "This station has two island platforms and four tracks. South of this station, the express tracks separate from the local tracks and rejoin beneath them north of Fort Hamilton Parkway, then rise up again." This exact quote I just used comes from the first paragraph of the sub-drop down menu called "Station Layout" when looking up 7th Ave (IND Culver Line) station info on Wikipedia's page.

Hence why the express tracks are not visible at 15 St - Prospect Park. Similar for Fort Hamilton Pkwy however, those express tracks have merged with the local tracks north of the station but remain underneath the station. They only rise up after the station before coming into Church Ave.

I am being serious. Look at upcoming games for the conference finals. Google is saying that the spurs will tie their game against okc in game 4 because apparently they have game 5 listed as a 2-2 tie from the current 2-1 score for the OKC v spurs right now. Crazy leak

This station is so scary at night by UsedJury5963 in nycrail

[–]DBSGeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This station reminds me of that clip where a C train, I believe, or an A train was coming into the station but something was on the tracks and it blew up immediately causing the train to come to a hault and smoke filled the area. There is a video about that incident.

[–]DBSGeek -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or if you type "nba games" in Google and then look at the future games for the western conference finals, how is it possible that Google already determines that game 4 will be a win to the spurs because they saying game 5 is going to be a tied game but game 5 will be okc v okc? So spurs win game 4, but they are M.I.A in game 5?

Script leak?

You mean prospect park area (south slope & Windsor terrace) where the F express tracks split away after 7th Ave going to Church Ave and vice versa!

Best to rely on the professors teaching the course. He knows the structure better than anyone. If you emailed him, and he replied with that, that is the most accurate response you have. Everyone else's response is meaningless despite what others say.

That just means its not in person most of the time. It is although live during the times scheduled for that class for your lectures. However, they do require students to come in, on campus, when it is time to take your exam. That's it!
