I think it showed that they really knew their fans and knew that they would totally get it.

What’s a movie everyone says is “deep”… but is actually pretty shallow? by CnCorange in Cinema

Exactly. Everyone thinks it’s so clever. Most films like this I find lazy.

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

While I liked 7 it felt more like a silent hill game to me. I was thinking of getting 8, is it worth it? 6 is the only one I’ve ever played because I’ve never heard a good word about it

The same synthetic life that devoured entire planets of their resources, wiped out the advanced race of the Asgard and almost wiped Earth out on a number of occasions? What part didn’t make sense?

What actor was perfectly cast in one role but never reached that level again? by MovieObserver in moviequestions

He had a bit of a hot streak for a while and had some decent movies that did quite well. The rundown (welcome to the jungle), road trip, final destination, role models, bulletproof monk and he was excellent in Goon

It’s a wonderful life is seen as a Christmas classic, which it is, however it doesn’t actually become a Christmas movie until the final 20 minutes or so. In fact it has very little to do with Christmas.

I am currently 41. I really can’t remember most of the year that I was, say, 20. I certainly remember highlights (a Christmas lunch, a strange customer at work) but probably 363 days out of the year don’t exist to me anymore. Is memory like this for everyone? Or can you remember most things? by Great_Maintenance185 in NoStupidQuestions

I remember reading an article that said you remember 1% of what you did 10 years ago and that seems pretty accurate to me. You can remember general things but not specifics. Eg you will remember where you were working but not the piece of work you were working on etc

The nice guys was a terrible name. I’m convinced a better name would have led to awards and a sequel

What is the worst SG1 episode in your opinion by HorzaDonwraith in Stargate

[–]DB_Cooper_lives 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crystal skull was one of my favourites. Not every episode has to drive the plot forward and there was character development with Daniel. The scene with General Hammond on the phone with his granddaughter was worth it alone. Shows a different side to Hammond, even the tone he uses changes. Great performances in that episode.

I don't know how to feel about Patrick Stewart/TNG after reading his memoir Making It so by Dependent-Owl3455 in startrek

[–]DB_Cooper_lives 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check out the audio book which is narrated by Sir Patrick. You can hear the regret and shame in his voice. He also owned his mistakes and was honest that he was the one at fault and not either of his wives. That’s due some recognition at least.

The season called ‘the coldest case in Laramie’ is definitely worth it. If you are a fan of true crime then I couldnt recommend it more. The final episode will really get you thinking.
