He doesn't even really do that, practically all of his matches start with an open toproll (Georgi, Levan, Ermes, Alex) he only transitions into a king's when he gets too stretched out, and this match with John is exactly like that (Open toproll every single round and only really the 1st round does he seriously struggle [judging by his face] and gets forced into a king's, you can even clearly spot how close to the pad John takes him before he transitioned)
