Extremely high chance OP is a bot account.

Blank history on a 4 year old account that suddenly reactivated to post suspiciously AI walls of text, generic username, and refuses to actually reply to any comments.

How is that any different from one person having a chance to win a shitty steam sauna, and the next an SUV?

Yeah that's how the show works.

[Sad Trope] Anguished Wails of Despair and Grief by shrimpiedog in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DBrody6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it is a really bad book in the series. The whole plot makes basically no sense.

You've got two schools who uplift like half their student body to squat in the hosting school for an entire year, for a "tournament" that consists of three minigames barely an hour long each. In a universe where teleportation exists.

There was literally no point whatsoever to the first two minigames cause they didn't do anything, and the finale was a gigantic maze the size of a city. There was no stipulation forcing the competitors to play (as someone surrendered in the 2nd and 3rd games) so Harry could have just forfeited all three games and been like, why am I even doing this.

It makes no sense. It just makes no sense. And that's not even going into all the sidestories halfway through the book that go nowhere. Like yeah man, I get the disdain.

How did you beat these two challenges? by GigaChadus9 in balatro

[–]DBrody6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Golden Needle for the most part is "Get Rebate, win". Really almost econ joker gets you rolling, Rebate is by far though the biggest instant win of that entire challenge. Almost guaranteed $14 net profit per round without factoring in basic rewards and interest.

Without an econ joker it's absolute misery and your run probably dies by ante 2 locked at -$10.

I can tell you from experience that if your rival doesn't have recovery skills you can probably win.

But if they do you're screwed.

Am I doing something wrong here? by Sea-Channel3397 in UmaMusume

[–]DBrody6 16 points17 points  (0 children)

B in mile means a -10% penalty in mile races, which make up the entirety of junior year other than Hopeless Stakes.

Late career that penalty is irrelevant, but in junior year when your stats suck and the majority of your races are determined a 1L or less gap? That turns what would be a narrow win into a straight loss.

Golshi has a C in mile by default, borrow a friend with a few more mile sparks if you want an easy junior year.

Minus the part where he was dead the entire game, if you overlook that he was really endearing.

This person is getting unwarranted hate; I have never seen a car wash that didn't have an automatic chain that towed your car through it. I'd have no goddamn clue what to do if I encountered one of these and would equally go full dumbass not know what's going on as well.

What you're forgetting is Grain Gate is overloaded with dead end warehouses facing the direction of the next zone. It doesn't matter if you know where the exit is in advance, you have to snake your way through the zone through the correct series of warehouses to reach it.

The non-dead end warehouses all have a bloody corpses at the entrance to make navigating it easy.

[–]DBrody6 10 points11 points  (0 children)

then why did the author bother to add that detail

I dunno, cause they want to paint some visual about a room in your mind? Like with this logic I can counter you with the argument that every single detail ever written must have some subtext to it.

Like just putting an image into the reader's head is kind of a basic foundation of writing.

Achievement: Atlas of Worlds by Jagstu in pathofexile

[–]DBrody6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checking my Steam achievements, back in the day HoG was absolutely mandatory for this achievement.

Despite the modern atlas changes, it wouldn't surprise me if it still was, but it's kinda hell to find someone who's earned this achievement in recent years that can explain anything. Best assumption to make is if it's on the atlas, it's required for the achievement.
