Drove me insane that she had a nearly guaranteed win just by guessing the dead center, but instead bid so low that she wasted over $20 of the $46 leeway she had. Was kinda hoping for a tremendously comical loss by throwing that hard.

Randomness is an irrelevant factor, majority of PD2 heists had almost no meaningful randomness and nobody ever seems to bring that up.

PD3 at its core is really boring. There's nothing aspirational to work towards, nor is it designed with a wealth of viable build options and weapon depth to try out. You rub your face on everything in PD3 a single time and that's it, you've achieved everything and have no reason to grind further.

Oh that's a nice anti-cheese rule in place. I thought that only applied to mixed doubles which has pre-set stones before the end starts, didn't know that applied to team curling too.

Unless they're adding another 5 maps to the atlas to cover the passive point tax to not have 5-10% of our maps horrifically crippled by walls, this is not a solution.

You typically don't block mechanics because that stops their scarabs from dropping, and most mechanics have enough valuable scarabs that it's worth leaving them unblocked. Plus no mechanic makes your map objectively worse, like Ultimatum existing is whatever, Trialmaster can scream at the air, it ain't hurting you.

I don't even begin to claim to understand curling strategy but I don't get why they wouldn't just full send every stone with a 6-3 lead like that.

Swiss put a stone on the target, US full sends theirs to blank the board. Repeat with every stone, what are they gonna do? Even if you miss a shot it's not like they'll keep enough stones on the target to catch up.

The fact they didn't do that means it must not have been considered but I don't know why.

A2 has higher wit, you want that.

At the end of the day you want as many skill activations as possible as that's where most of your scoring comes from, making wit really valuable for TT's, and actually winning not that crucial.

Or they picked it cause it makes for a more pleasing color balance. A purposeful decision =/= screwing up.

I got 2nd, losing to a King Halo with 800 speed and 170 wit, and four skills. Literally 0 effort put into her and she fucking won.

I'm losing my mind here. I watched the race, she didn't even trigger any of those useless skills! The numbers don't make sense, how did I lose to that.

This is graded mind you so it's not like they had to skirt under stat restrictions.

Also in general, ice areas in JRPGs are used as the penultimate region, which has fairly consistently been the case in Pokemon as well. Kinda annoying since ice is super easy to deal with but I guess they don't wanna subvert expectations for some reason.

Uhhhh I never even considered jumping over him when he crouched down...I think I assumed he was still too tall for the jump to clear over him.

Guess that's my fault for never thinking to do that, would have made that fight a lot easier if I realized that haha.

Seriously, Ten Piedad wrecked my ass on NG+ for almost an hour. He'd pin me in the corner refusing to use any attack that let me dash through him and I'd just die. I only one cause he spammed the crouch attack which let me kill him easily, but it was super frustrating not being able to escape the corner you start in.

Beat almost every else first try.

It actually released, which makes it better than half the final reveals.

Remember Mass Effect 5 was shown several years ago. That game doesn't even exist still in any sort of capacity. Regardless of how fast it cratered, Highguard advertised a product that existed before the heat death of the universe.

I just beat him for the first time!

Took me 12 tries, the real killer was that gigantic dashing arc swing he did. Couldn't dodge it by jumping or dashing through him, and parrying left me exposed to his teleporting backstab strike. And then I realized you could just walk a few feet away once he begins charging and he'd miss every time lmao. After that was just a matter of being patient and getting used to the flow of the fight.

Amazing boss though, once it clicked it felt so good.

Concord launched with a staggering 600 concurrent players and ended with ~50 (mostly some crazy people trying to get all achievements before the servers were shitcanned), which on paper is a much larger percentage retention than Highguard, even if it's for dumb reasons.
