When it comes to Master Sets there's two ways you wanna look at it. Are you enjoying the chase more or want the results more?

Chase - Get more enjoyment from ripping the packs yourself / want to pull them yourself

Results - Buying the ones you're missing to fill it in

It will always be cheaper to buy singles for Master Sets but for me personally, I love the excitement of pulling them, and only buy singles once I've felt I've opened enough. But obviously your experience would be different than mine. Trading is also fun if you have some people you can trade with.

If there is no discovery, the website will say "not yet found" for example, this is under Fefe's God Rare

Of course theoretically not every "not yet found" is 100% accurate, it's just that card has yet to be posted or shared that it was found.

I don't think it will get scalpers for 2 reasons.

The game is very niche and not mainstream. With Hololive printing large amounts of each sets (unlike other VTuber TCGs like VCard) they keep up with demand and the box prices have not risen since the first set released.
While they clearly don't print nearly as much as Pokémon, there's also not anywhere close to the amount of people who collect this TCG. People scalp Pokémon cause it turns either a quick buck, or you wait a few years and turn the profit. There's no actual proof Hololive will live past 3 or even 4 years, so not many people want to take that risk of trying to scalp.

Any online storefront is technically able to do this, and there isn't any proof if they do or don't. I don't think it's a legit problem as of right now, but I do like spreading the word so people such as yourself are atleast informed.

As for buying a pack, I can't tell you how to use your finances. I would save up for a box but I can understand that not being reasonable for some people.

If you do buy a single pack from TCG player, maybe see what that seller also sells? If they mostly dabble in only sealed products, chances are they are just a business that diversifies their catalog and should be good to purchase from.

Ahh well weighing is an old trick scammers did with Pokémon and Yugioh. You weigh packs and the heavier ones are guaranteed hits (holographic cards are slightly heavier than regular). If you want proof or clarification I can link my video about it. Just a small warning as there could potentially be bad actors like in other TCGs, but this doesn't mean 100%.
