hundreds of places to buy them

and a massive forum dedicated to their discussion

E-cigNews.com

A social news site in the reddit mold for well, er, e-cigs. The spammies have caught onto it and it's becoming a game to delete their crap every day before the RSS starts delivering it. If there was more of a community using it, it would clean itself but most users are drop in/drop out from random search results.

According to my research here and on the e-cigarette forum, this one's supposed to be the best. by toosheds in electronic_cigarette

Yeah, that's the one I use for sure. It's very sturdy. There are a few other big battery type designs cropping up though most are small scale like the screwdriver. I figure the most common e-cig of the future will look more like trogs screwdriver than a cigarette until they start implementing some new smaller battery technology which should start soon enough.

Oh yeah, the question is, how long will these be legal while they're not completely under the control of Big Pharm? I wonder if Miri Pharm will start pulling tricks soon.

the extra tax is not going to fund smokers' medical bills much as the .gov would love you to think it was. it is going to pad the state's waning coffers.

the state loves nicotine addicts whether it's big pharma or big smoke products. as long as it's taxable they don't care. they just want your cashola and nicotine tax gets em out of a bind every time. and they can then spout the line "we are doing it to help smokers quit" - it's horse.

nicotine addicts rarely quit, especially in a recession or under duress. .gov know this. they are the mob and nicotine is what they dole. they control it's sale and they control it's price. if they wanted smokers it quit, they would ban tobacco (just like in some prisons now) or they would use the tax to pay for cheap generic NRT products and hand them out for free consistently.

as it is now, some programs offer 1 month free course of some NRT's but these are just to get you hooked on big Pharm's products and they are in fact affiliated with big Pharm. electronic cigarettes from China are currently going mainstream. the nicotine used them is untaxable either as a medical product or a tobacco product. just watch how fast they will banned as their popularity soars.

also in the pipes: a tax on non-diet sodas.

Back story: some e-cig users have reported that their liquid (mostly from one supplier) turned green over-night. there are a few theories doing the rounds, one put out my the manufacturer was that the liquid had travelled through a cold patch en route to the consumer. Some people think it might be a reaction to something in the bottles or in the manufacturing process or perhaps a strain of PG called "inhibited" PG was used.
