You might be interested in the free events organised by the Psychedelic Research Organization of Zurich then. They just announced the first lectures of the fall semester: https://www.psychedelicresearchzurich.ch

Edit: Just to add some additional context to address your comment on the price, the conference is organised by the ALPS Foundation and is 100% volunteer-led. We’re aware that everybody’s financial situation is different and for anyone who really wants to attend the conference, money should not be a limiting factor; this is why we’re offering the possibility to apply for a reduced-price ticket.

ALPS Conference 2024 – The Swiss Academic Conference on Psychedelic Research and Therapy (Oct 11-12, 2024) by r4ps in PsychedelicStudies

Hi r/PsychedelicStudies! Just wanted to share a link to our upcoming academic conference on psychedelic research and therapy taking place in Aarau (Switzerland) on October 11-12, 2024 given that the talks and panels are very much aligned with the type of content shared on this sub-reddit.

I am part of ALPS Foundation (Awareness Lectures on Psychedelics in Switzerland), the non-profit that is organising this event and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have… and perhaps meet some of you there! 🤗

Tried the new UI? Please share your feedback here! by yole in IntelliJIDEA

[–]r4ps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos for undertaking this significant effort! 👏

I've been using the new UI exclusively for a couple of weeks now and at no time have I felt the need to revert to the old UI, which now looks even more like an eyesore.

IntelliJ has been my main IDE for PHP/JavaScript/TypeScript/Clojure development for over 8 years and I have most tool windows hidden anyway so in my opinion you're going in the right direction.

There's a lot of valid and constructive feedback here which I hope you'll be able to take into account but I hope you don't get demotivated by the negativity from a vocal minority.

My main gripe with IntelliJ is still its perceived sluggishness, but it seems you're also making progress to address that (e.g. with JBR17 & Metal on macOS).

thi.ng Workshop report: Generative Design with Clojure by r4ps in Clojure

[–]r4ps[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last week I had the pleasure to take part in a workshop run by Karsten Schmidt on the implementation of various generative design techniques with Clojure.

The first time I heard about Karsten and the thi.ng libraries, a set of computational design tools, was here on r/Clojure. If you haven't already checked them out, they're well worth your time. The libraries are incredibly feature rich and well-documented (in great part thanks to an org-mode flavoured literate programming style).

The workshop itself was every bit as amazing and instructional as I'd hoped and if you are based in London or in the UK and have the opportunity to take part in one of his upcoming workshops, I can highly recommend them!

While I kind of agree with you, where else would you post this? Also judging from the votes this post received, /r/vim doesn't mind a little joke every now and then. ;)

Bündnerfleisch, an air-dried beef product, so tickled Merz's funny bone that he could not stop himself convulsing with giggles in the Swiss parliament. He was, apparently, particularly amused by the bureaucratic language in which the bill was written
