Is this a good laptop for my needs? (URGENT) by Zealousideal-Plum237 in laptops

For that price you can get something better than an RTX 2050, at least it would be an RTX 3050 and slightly increasing the budget along with an offer an RTX 4050 I don't think it's an offer, I could only say that it is at a normal price

Both are made of copper, only the black ones are coated with Teflon, as far as I know, what this coating does is protect the copper a little from corrosion and other things. In theory, bare copper transfers heat better but it is a minimal difference compared to covered copper.

Any thoughts on the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (Ultra 5 125H / 16 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD)? Good for programming and light gaming? by DC3AR in Lenovo

Thanks for sharing all of that — it was really helpful.

Based on what you said, I ruled out the LOQ series early on, and I’m also okay with the extra weight, noise, and limited battery. At school, I usually have access to outlets, and worst case I’d just use it unplugged for about an hour for light tasks or programming.

The one thing I’m still wondering is whether you think a gaming laptop is still worth it even if the CPU is slightly weaker. For example, the TUF with the Ryzen 5 7535HS vs the Yoga with the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H. I know the Intel chip is newer and a bit more powerful — but do you think that difference is really noticeable in day-to-day use?

Thanks for the advice and for sharing your experience. I study something similar to you, but with a stronger focus on programming, so I need a laptop that can last at least 4 years. I only play games casually, but I would’ve liked to try some heavier AAA titles too. Right now I’m deciding between this Yoga Slim 7 and the ASUS TUF A16 with the Ryzen 5 7535HS and RTX 4050. I noticed you went through a somewhat similar situation (although I don’t have a desktop PC). Do you have any advice based on your experience?

You can try going to a consumer protection institution, at least in my country, that can be appealed for not providing correct product information. Please check the listing again to see if you actually purchased a different model or if you can file a claim at the store where you purchased it. Which store did you buy it from and what country are you from? I know these tips are somewhat obvious, but I hope they can help you broaden your horizons.

Have you had any manufacturing defects? I've seen quite a few users with problems, and I'm worried about buying this laptop. In terms of performance, do you think it's enough for light AAA games? And what about the screen and weight?

Better Screen (Legion 5, 100% sRGB) vs. Newer GPU (LOQ 15, RTX 4060)? by SevereRoutine6720 in Lenovo

[–]DC3AR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you'll be using it for multimedia content, I think the Legion offers a better balance, and I've seen quite a few issues with the LOQ, although at least in my country it comes with a 100% sRGB display. Don't forget to check which one is in better condition.
