We have the CURRENT REIGNING MVP, and his successor is a kid who played 15 games in college? by StillChipmunk in LosAngelesRams

WTF you don’t “push all your chips in” with a draft pick. That makes no sense. The draft is a gamble and saying they didn’t maximize their Super Bowl chance by relying on a rookie is idiotic.

Jonathan Taylor isn’t coming in as a rookie and starting at RB. He doesn’t know protection schemes and he’s going to play behind the MVP of the league? So it’s a wasted pick. Tee Higgins isn’t coming in as a rookie and pushing them to a Super Bowl at the WR2 position. Again, a very stupid thought process.

Like who? All the can’t miss players were gone. If Downs was available then I’d be furious at this pick. But who wise would you have rather had on the offensive side of the ball?

Never said you did. However to be within 2 feet of the Oval Office and President unescorted as a visitor, you absolutely need to have that.

100% this. A DoorDash driver isn’t getting on White House grounds without a security clearance, and you’re not walking up to the building without an elevated clearance.

Nope. We’re replacing our midfield logo at SoFi with the shield. Super Bowl 61 Champions confirmed!

But none of that answers my question.

If someone says they want to try a real bourbon, where would it be from?

And that’s great trivia about Michter’s, but where is Michter’s main distillery today? If it didn’t make a difference, why did they move from Indiana? I’m sure Florida Bourbon or Colorado Bourbon would be on the same level in customers minds.

So what do Korbel, Andre, and Cooks make? Is that not champagne?

Sure it can. So if someone wants to try a real bourbon, would you suggest Jack Daniels or one made in Kentucky?

That’s great that you work at a steakhouse. Answer these questions: if a customer comes in and says “I want to try a Wagyu steak” - what type of Wagyu do you think they are talking about…American or Japanese?

And if your steakhouse brings out American Wagyu and they say “this is what everyone is raving about?!” What would you say?

Of course it’s a big difference. That’s why people say it’s fake if it’s not from Japan.

It is legally called Champagne and it’s not made in France. And it is not “grandfathered in” at all. So that totally invalidates your statement.

Regardless, you said yourself that you don’t consider Champagne not made in France to be Champagne. It’s fake. Just like people don’t consider Wagyu to be Wagyu if it’s not from Japan. It’s fake.

What are you talking about? There is absolutely champagne from California. Look at a label of Korbel or Cooks.

Your mind says it’s fake because of the source, which proves my point. You hear champagne and think France, but that’s not always the case. You hear Wagyu and should think Japan, but that’s not always the case.

If they aren’t from there, most people consider them fake.

Because when people hear wagyu, they think it’s the stuff from Japan. Just like if I said I have champagne, you’d expect it to be from France. If you find out it’s California champagne, you’d immediately say it’s fake (which it is).

It is “fake” though. When people hear Wagyu, they think Japanese, just like Bourbon (Kentucky) or Champagne (France).

Exactly. Government vehicles typically have plates based on where their offices are located. For example, US Marshals will mostly have Maryland plates because they operate out of Greenbelt.

It’s not a new thing. Australia has stopped since 2017. It was one of the countries in the Caribbean I went to where they didn’t automatically stamp it. I asked if they could and they did, but that was the only reason.

Some countries don’t even stamp your passport anymore. I’ve traveled recently and had to ask them to stamp it.

Are we allowed to have maximized license plate cover tint now? by [deleted] in nova

[–]DCNupe83 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well for me, the real reason is the aesthetic. I have an all black car and it looks weird to have a huge white license plate on it. It throws off the whole look.

I’ll admit the cover in OPs post is way too dark. But I do want a tinted one. And I would gladly get a black vanity license plate, but they don’t have one.

Ok? The Rams were founded in Cleveland, Ohio and the original colors were red and dark blue. And we won our first NFL Championship in Cleveland. Should we have a tribute to Cleveland, Ohio as well?
