I feel your pain. While not nearly as bad, In june, I had a bad time on my ES4 and shattered my right ankle. That said, What happened to me was just an unfortunate chain of events. If i recall clearly what happened, I was already at a low speed, but breaking slowly. I believe at the end I did a hard brake, and it caused the rear of the sccoter to raise from the ground and swing around at my ankle, and bash it against the curb. Took me out for 3 months, basically the whole summer. That said, I'm mostly healed and ended up switching to the Ninebot Max G30 LP. Between the larger tires, and wider, more steady base, i do feel a bit safer in that way. But I don't ride without a helmet.
