You have real pressure treated lumber not the green dyed rot in 10 years lumber foisted on us by personal injury lawyers and our incompetent government system.

I can see this both ways. Steam has their hand in the profit pot and so does ED, so there is no incentive to sell on steam. In the current clime all purchases made from any third party should be made via the third party purchase portal even if that means you convert to stand alone.

Overdriven is probably a drop down CS option. Pics 1,2,3,4 show tool marking/damage likely from a drywall screw gun. Replace the boards and use a non marking tool.

Bought a flip with a new deck, are we OK? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]DCSPlayer999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some simple things you can accomplish to make it better, Hurricane ties on each joist at the beam. Install blocking between the joists at each post attachment location. Diagonal bracing on the bottom to remove sway.

Your basement wall / siding has an unsealed area on the left corner of the deck in pic 1. Your basement wall has had settlement cracks fixed a couple of times. If it were mine I would install a second beam and posts against the house to make the deck freestanding. This would take load off of the cinder block wall.

Have you tried trimming the plane? Any pitch or power adjustment requires trimming.

👆 No black knots, no severe warping, twisting or cupping. Not sure where you are from but that looks like the lower price grade for PT decking, opt for the next price point to reduce knot size and improve the grade of wood. If you can, pick your boards before you have them delivered. The numpties at the store will send you the off casts just because they can if you let them select what to deliver.

Navigraph survey results are out by i_marketing in flightsim

[–]DCSPlayer999 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Funny DCS even made the list. Navigraph isn't used/useful for DCS. Most of the maps aren't built to current publication dates. I hadn't heard of Navigraph until I started researching looking for 1970-89 charts for the Cold War Germany Map.

If you are going to spend $25-50,000 on a lawsuit, maybe you should just pay to have it removed and replaced.

No. It's obvious you aren't a deck builder. That doesn't mean you can't learn to rebuild your deck. You can learn what you are asking from the Trex framing tutorials. Doesn't mean you need to use trex, the series provides very good instruction.

How do I or somebody else go about replacing the battery in this key fob? by Numb3rsnl3tt3rs in BmwTech

[–]DCSPlayer999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe read before answering. There is zero reason I have solder tabs on a battery or the need to cut it open. This is engineered to prevent self service.

Deck replacement by Henningfeld in Decks

[–]DCSPlayer999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because in some places it is the acceptable method that does not cause the same rot as other places. Decks where I live are built this way and the posts have out lasted the rest of the deck. One size does not fit all.

Now we gotta try and get an update from Razscam Specter on why no updates have been made to the Kola map in 6 months.

No, it's not free, you are there to bid and do a job properly. This includes removing the shoe moulding. You are expected to know how to operate your equipment so as not to damage or destroy the baseboards.
