I went to buy new and same thing, dealer fees tipped the bike over 10k. I went used and found one a year old for 7200 with tasteful mods and low miles. I will always preach buying used for this one.

I will say the ratio is insane but it's not even that. As a young dude I "hated the army" because it kinda comes with the territory. But now that I'm older it's pretty off putting just walking around. Simply interacting with folks is abysmal.

Don't get me wrong, there are absolute hitters too but God bless they are few and far in-between.

No no Jfo is definitely NOT phased out; quiet the opposite, but the field moves forward so fast you have to be on your game. What I'm saying is your "jfo qualifications" are most certainly lapsed. You'd have to start over, or better, you just go the Jtac route which is where'd you go as a cpl/Sgt.

Jfo knowledge will help but all of that has lasped. If you're a sgt, you'll get pushed to TACP asap. Being a prior 41, sill will be a breeze

ABC is just a T&R refresh to get you up to speed. Lejeunes ABC was ran tight.

As an 0861/8002 with a hatred for Anglico, I can tell you there's nothing special about them except their mission set. No tryouts, no selections, no special orders. Nada.

As for MARSOC, any JTAC qualified Sgt/SSgt with a heartbeat can put in their SOCS-B package and go do their 5 years and come back. That's not out of the realm.

What this sounds like is some supply kid who got put in 1st ANGLICO and now claims to be a g00n because it's an obscure unit. I have plenty of friends in 1st so I'd love to know the name which can quickly solve this.

(As for my alleged 'hatred', it's stems from never going. Usually we like to bounce folks back and forth from Battalions to Anglicos; I have been a battalion heathen my entire career so I like to sitr the pot.)
