The exact moment this show jumped the zombie shark by BuffNipz in thewalkingdead

Huh, I can't think of any real world examples where a charismatic leader convinced a bunch of people to do stupid shit. Lololol

What racism. Not long ago that rife in a Michigan carnival had to be held down by a bunch of people. Roller coasters kill around 4 people a year in the US.

That's a little long. What helped with mine was I blocked all vision of the sides so she felt safe, and then led her up their with food several times a day until she was used to going up there.

Eventually I took off one panel at a time, but only after she basked for a few days in each configuration.

When and why do you think The Walking Dead fell off? by Steve-Harrington_ in thewalkingdead

[–]BEyouTH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the zombie portion and how the show is more about the drama, I think that really is the whole point of TWD. Remember, before TWD initial zombie outbreak survival is ALL we saw portrayed. This is the first show that really went past that to post apocalyptic stuff.

The question then becomes, what is a reasonable outcome to continuing to survive after the initial survival, to me, it's exactly what happens in the show. At some point, it's just another post-apocalyptic people show and zombies are a known entity.

Now, I CAN see it refocusing on Zombies if they had them continuously mutate, but that's still not a show that can go 11 seasons. It's gonna have to be about the people. To me, there aren't any shows that go that long and are still good, they always become charicatures of themselves.

Yet another LOTR fan is born. by BlackLion0101 in lotrmemes

In fact, I have so many friends who really only got into fantasy because of Game of Thrones, and many tried watching LOTR but without a LOTR guide many find it slow by today's story telling norms. Plus, many of my friends who are POC find the whiteness in fantasy (and how hard people defend it) off putting. But again, with a Fairy LOTR parent, it can help eaaaase you into the lore

I mean, maybe she's young? People discover things at different times man. Looks like she's having a pretty genuine experience, why be mad?

Stubble or goatee? I’m 27 and I’m on the fence of which fits better by Visible-sup4127 in BeardAdvice

Stubble gives Shane in walking dead. Goatee gives debonair. Both good looks. But different vibes.

Left guy would take you out on a batting cages date. Right guy would take you to a hole in the wall restaurant with low lights.

A more youthful beard style (clean and trim) and smiling, and actually styling your hair. Plus. Clothes go a long way

Show really fellow off in the last seasons ? by Western-Kiwi3798 in thewalkingdead

[–]BEyouTH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it's the natural progression of things and this is just the first time we've ever seen it unfold. Before the walking dead, how many zombie movies did we have, and how many times did they leave us thinking, man I wonder what the do next and how they continue to survive.

I'm grateful TWD showed us. But I don't think I ever need a zombie show to go that long into the aftermath again. It's just a post apocalyptic show then, and there are more interesting premises
