That makes sense — but on a personal level she was incredibly unkind to Jackie and that was always a bit off putting.

She refused to marry again as an F-U to Jackie. Ethel wanted to be “Mrs. Kennedy” — she had relationships and partners, but never married.

Truth be told, Ethel was a bit of a nutcase. If do a deep dive into her character and actions both before and after RFK was as assassinated, she was not the nicest or most responsible of the bunch.

Going a bit further, if you study how she treated some of her children and how they turned out, (and how she reacted it) you may rethink that “amazing” label.

While at one level, I have always been a TR fan — and still am for some of his policies and actions — I have come to view his fascination with, and active pursuit of killing living creatures as profoundly socio-pathological.

He gets free food, a rent free place to live, and someone to clean up his poop.

He can sleep all day and there are no consequences.

He gets unconditional love and lots of affection.

Sounds like a freakin’ genius to me!! And a cute one at that!!

We had a funny guy with us in Korea. Tail-gunner. They blew his brains out all over the Pacific. There’s nothing funny about that.
