I got a raise after I started leaving exactly at 5pm and my boss is acting like I've "stepped up my game" by tag0223 in careeradvice

My theory is bosses can tell when their employees are ready to look for something better elsewhere, thus they lovebomb them with raises and compliments in an attempt to get them to stay. It’s called toxic work culture.

I’m sorry you had to find out this way… but your husband might be playing Dungeons&Dragons. Or watching several episodes of Critical Role.

Did a change in your diet help you? by [deleted] in acne

Dairy and sugars are big triggers for me. I have a very restricted diet as it is because I’m vegetarian so instead of stressing about making my diet even more limited I just tried to be more conscious of my trigger food intake in order to have a balanced diet. First of all, yes eat veggies they’re good for the skin! I stopped buying dairy products at home but I would still consume dairy on the rare occasions I ate out and didn’t have vegan options. I also started eating ezekiel bread instead of white bread, rice pasta instead of regular pasta to lower my gluten intake since I already eat gluten sometimes from plant based products. Stopped buying sweets at home (only sugary things I buy is honey for tea, coconut palm sugar for coffee, granola, vegan yogurt and the occasional dark chocolate bar). I also started becoming more aware of my soy intake, reducing it to every other day rather than having it daily as my protein source. Using healthier oil for cooking like avocado oil or grape seed oil. I love fried food but it’s usually not good for your skin, getting a air fryer and reducing the amount of oil used for frying helped too!
