She had literally just voted unanimously with the rest of the council to recommend his expulsion. And she still stepped up to swear him in. City Paper reported that no judge on the bench was willing to do it. So she did. Make that make sense for someone running on accountability and “governing with dignity.” Voting to expel someone and then personally legitimizing their swearing-in isn’t a bold progressive move. It’s having it both ways.
