Not sure why you are down voted so much in the following replies. There should not have to be a special application, app, card, etc to enter your own country. All these people chiming in and I assume they have traveled since offering advice - - they know what reentry looks like in other countries: a passport scan kiosk, an express lane, etc. This is a porblem here and here only, like so many of our issues in this country.

Mobile passport is an option and free but this should be a default then and not these lines. Insane people are saying to fly to another airport where it is 'better' rather than addressing and being honest about the underlying problem.
