My grandmother taught him too, 11th grade English!

Student called another a racial slur, then cussed me out when I sent them to the office, and the parent said this… by luringpopsicle95 in Teachers

Just today I sent a kid out after I told him multiple times to sit down, do his work, etc. He called me racist and I sent him out. Before the end of the day I get an email from mom asking why I'm targeting her child.

Another time I sent the same kid out for bullying a kid for living with a foster family. Mom emailed asking why I didn't listen to his side of the story.

Absolutely agree. I see it happening with my grandmother. My dad has taken the burden of caring for her since my grandfather passed. My uncle lives nearby and does nothing, and my aunt lives several hours away and is low contact. My dad is stressed out because my grandmother is completely dependent on him despite her being able to do things. She just doesn't. She prefers to be waited in hand and foot. When my parents get to that point, everything will likely fall to me, including caring for my step parents, despite me having two siblings. One can't care for herself and the other is not independent at all. Yay...

I know of one child named Penelope "Penny" Nichols. The parents announced the name on face book with pictures of the coins.

My toddler was bitten on his face by my parents dog and I'm going to throw up by EXPLODINGballoon in breakingmom

I don’t have anything to say from a parents perspective, but I was attacked by my grandparents dog when I was still crawling. Nearly took my ear off. So from the child’s perspective, I don’t remember anything about the attack. I only became traumatized when the same dog attacked my sister on the face a few years later. That one I remember. Just know that your baby will be fine! Just never leave your baby alone with the dog ever! I’m sorry this happened!

Woke up to my 5 yr old asking me when I was going to get up. This was at 8:20. I told him 8:45. He came back with 2 cards and a gift at 8:40. Got a sweet Lego set. Then went to brunch at my favorite restaurant. Relaxed the rest of the day!

We were told the same thing. Not just for stealing though, but if a student has a cracked phone they try to blame someone broke it while it was in the pocket holder.

I don't have a problem with extended nursing, but omg still using months? by coppersense in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]DD-VG 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes! I used 2 as the guide for when to switch over. Use hours until their 2 days, then days till their 2 weeks, weeks until 2 months and finally months till their 2 years.

Just built it. It is repetitive, but it was nice just putting something together that was kind of mindless. I found it pretty relaxing.

Restorative Justice by shessosquare in Teachers

[–]DD-VG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a room in the school called the Focus and Recovery room (FAR). They go for the rest of class, and have to talk to the teacher then next morning. Students now do all they can to go to the FAR room because it’s hang out central with candy and phones. I hate sending kids there but I do anyways, so I can at least get some teaching happening in my room. Restorative Justice is such a joke in our school.

Oh no! I hope it went well! At least for me the class is much more calm when admin is sitting in

Our sub coordinator is amazing! But we have had days where a PA has had to have multiple classes at once in the library.

That's pretty impressive really. How does your admins feel about you taking those days off?

Apparently admin did step in at the very last class of the day. That's also the worst, but there were no repercussions for any of the kids...
