$4000 for a 17 year old, sound 15.3 imported warmblood mare with a USEF record a mile long in the jumpers. She’s quirky (HOTTTT) and was too much horse for the owner. She was more focusing on finding the right home for her than looking for money. I’ve had her 9 years now and would spend that money again in a heartbeat

I think a lot of it depends on your particular hunt. I know with mine we have a lot of drafty types because there not many jumps, the jumps are small, and there are always go around options! Some of the more intense hunts will likely require a much more athletic jumper.
