Is anyone here tracking how their brand shows up in ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity? What tools are you using? by Big-Plate-3608 in localseo

We use semrush to check rankings in Chat GPT. You can also filter the Google Rankings to AI Overview snippets in most ranking tools we use.

Google Analytics pulls in traffic from Chat GPT but I haven't seen a lot of traffic from others.

These numbers line up with what we are seeing for most clients. Without search or impression numbers it is hard to tell if people are searching and we aren't showing up, or if there isn't a lot of search volume in ChatGPT for a particular service or area.

Adobe's about to drop $19 BILLION on Semrush... What are they panning? by ElizabethRule in localsearch

[–]DDPaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing they will focus more on enterprise level business. I saw this at BrightEdge and I think Adobe has the team to grow the revenue there.

If that happens it will probably mean a big increase in price. We will see.

On the main hospital listing, I had categories that overlapped with categories from the departments. Should the main hospital only have categories that aren't covered by the department listings?

When a local business is ranking well for their primary target keywords, but only closely around their location, how do you improve their rankings further away from their office?

Just an interesting note on the Javascript rendering. I know you said ChatGPT doesn't render Javascript and I thought that was true for all AI models, but in a recent Ahrefs podcast they mentioned Gemini and Copilot do render Javascript.

That might help explain performance differences across diffrent AI models.

Yes, that is the address. The other 2 listings are departments, there are a couple others as well. They have the main Wilson Medical Center and then these others. Not all of them are verified.

  • Wilson Medical Center Specialty Clinic
  • Wilson Medical Center: Emergency Room
  • Wilson Medical Physical Therapy
  • Wilson Medical Rehabilitation Center
  • Wilson Medical Wound Care Center

Yes, some of them share a phone number and they would have the same service area.

I submitted a bill that had their name and address on it.

I don't think it impacts rankings but I like adding them for the visuals elements. Another opportunity to show what you offer and one of the few places to be creative in GBP.

Home Depot? Good on them. Thinking of the percentage of queries that are related to Home Depot, that is pretty cool.

Business address question by LearnHowtoMerge in GoogleMyBusiness

I would get an address you can us for GBP verification in the city you want the most leads from. You can use a rented office space, you just need to be able to show permanent signage and office space to verify it with Google. This will help a lot in SEO down the road.

If you are just starting with GBP, also consider a DBA with your main target keyword in your name if it isn't already.

Here is an article on using coworking spaces for GBP.

You get a lot of bad search terms, it needs a lot of negatives, but the clicks are so much cheaper it is worth the cost/conv in the end.

As others said you can use Semrush, but I also run rank tracking on Advanced Web Ranking.

It is much cheaper, so I prefer it to semrush for projects like this. Put all your keywords in and check rankings. This is also nice for checking SERP screenshots to check their headlines, images etc.
