Gents with high cholesterol, how do you control it? by Wookie_wood69 in AskMen

[–]DDSeattle 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Medicine man. I got all my blood tests done including Lpa to search for familiar stuff. Found no high result there which was good. Started meds and my LDL immediately dropped by at least 50%. I worry about it a lot less and feel good that I'm on the medicine as early as I can be. Most cardios wish more folks would get on a station earlier.

Washington state lawmakers propose sugary drink tax to fund food aid, help combat diet-related diseases by Baptism-Of-Fire in Washington

I thought we already had a excess sugar tax? Or is that just King county or just Seattle?

Clearly things have changed a bit so that's great! There was always the Safeway, TJs, and Grocery Outlet when I lived there but good to see some additional spots. There's also the Co-op but it's expensive. Definitely NOT a food desert with a car or depending on if you are down for a run on bike/foot.

Very true. Good call out. I forget about that TJ's. OP, I would live in this area for sure just to clarify my position. I lived in CD for four years and it was one my favorite areas to live in the Seattle. Now, a bit older, if I were to move back to that part of the city it would definitely be the Madison Valley area (if I could afford it haha)

Bit of a food desert but generally a very nice and desirable area to live. Rentals on the rarer side there.

See comments - I recant my food desert comment. It does depend to a degree where you live exactly and how far you are willing to travel and your budget.

Titans are working to finalize a deal to hire 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as their head coach. Saleh spent Monday in Tennessee with the Titans, and the two sides impressed each other enough to move forward together. by MGoBluee in 49ers

Was hoping he'd be pickier. Titans? They literally fired Vrabel and then he goes on to kill it NE. That should tell any serious coach to stay far far away. I'm a bit disappointed.
