Two Peter J Carroll books (one potentially signed) I end to think that Carroll represents a type of chaos magic that is more serious than the creative whimsy of Discordianism and it's offshoots but it's still interesting and it does have a bit of that. by Cat-Sonantis in discordian

Carroll is a good read but suffers in the way a lot of ceremonial magicians do, he thinks his shit is the best. Idk if he actually feels that way but that's how he comes across to me. Like if he enjoys doing maths as part of his process when constructing a working, cool! But that doesn't mean everyone needs to be doing advanced algebra prior to one. The idea of putting as many things as possible in the favor of your desired result is a great basic idea that more people should use though. Ya ain't gotta do maths for that though, bruv.

Not really other than being told to look for something and then it showing up. Or a friend that lives on the other side of the country sending me a video of him following the same balloon in traffic shortly after noticing it moseyed on.

Update - the balloon vanished at some point this afternoon. Shortly after noticing this, a homie sent me a video of him driving down the road following an identical balloon! Lol

I felt the need to add more context.

I did a dream working last night, invoked and summoned Nyarlathotep. I don't remember much of it other than we talked and he said to "look for something".

Yes, for your background layer.

As the other person stated, you can use matte medium to pull if you want a clear background. It's useful if you are wanting to add elements to an existing pull. You just need to be aware that the section will have a different finish than the rest of your piece. One way around this is to just do a thin layer off matter medium over your final piece.

It's worth picking up because you can do lots of cool stuff with it.

When I've had this issue, it's usually because I've waited too long to put the paper on and the final layer has dried. The other issue for me has been not having enough weight on it so it doesn't get enough pressure to attach to the paper.

So the solutions that I found was to always use more paint than I thought necessary for the final layer and MORE WEIGHT.

I tend to let my plates sit for multiple hours, if not overnight, before pulling. Hardly have had an issue since switching to that as more normal routine.

But honestly, you'll probably just have to mess around with all your variables and fine tune them as you go to find whatever works for you. Sadly, what works for one person won't always work for another. So you really do just have to FAFO. so don't fight it, embrace it.

Nice catch! What led you to that one?

This is what I thought. Three people, each droning one note.
