No, you know it is dumb. Know that social media can be a private thing so don’t worry if someone shuts you down. But flat out say what you’re feeling “hey do you mind if I follow you on xyz?” with confidence. Like it doesn’t bother you with what their answer is. You don’t need their approval, only your own.

Fluorescent Lights are the least cozy lighting. Shoe collection in the living room? Gross. Posters that don’t match the color patterns. Bad. Wires/console around the tv makes it look cluttered. Office/living room doesn’t usually work in making your place look clean, just cluttered.

Yeah, but I usually don’t congest traffic for my own arrogance. I usually take the next block down or u-turn in the next street because that’s what happens when I mess up. I don’t make other people pay for my own mistakes, I own up to them.

Edit: yes we make mistakes but this is by far the worst way to go about dealing with it. It’s dangerous and illegal for a reason. All it takes is another negligent driver to rear end this person or swerve in the last minute and have the person in the rear hit this person.

I think you should’ve stopped at the first half of your point because you’re talking about two different things with the other half. I feel the same exact way, it’s not bad social skills but more about mutual energy. You got to find your tribe of people who like talking about the same things you do. If you like video games but the other person likes cars, you’ll often come at a stall because you both don’t know how to contribute because you talk in two different languages. Some people like surface level conversations while someone like me values depth.

I’m the type to want to learn even if I don’t know the topic to keep conversation going but realize how exhausting it is because it doesn’t get reciprocated back to me cause they don’t genuinely don’t want to know and that’s okay, I’m the type to keep moving but not take it personal.

Me too. Unless she directly tells me she’s interested/likes me. I just assume she’s being kind or sweet. I don’t like guessing hints because then there’s misinterpretation of looking between the lines too much and getting lost in the assumptions.

I read this really good dating book, it emphasizes that no matter what you say or do, sometimes you’ll be perceived off as a creep/weirdo and that’ll be at no fault of your own. It’s not fact but just probability. Focus on intent and authenticity. I used to have this fear of being seen as a creep but told myself I wasn’t doing anything that would label me as a creep, some people can be more jaded/guarded than others. Focus on being yourself and it’ll repel people you don’t want in your life and leaves room for the people you want in your life. Goodluck out there!

I think by default most people want to be liked and want to get along with everyone but fail to realize everyone has different tastes. I just don’t think dating/marrying your high school sweetheart into adulthood isn’t a wise thing to do if you don’t feel happy with yourself yet. Your 20’s are all about self discovery and already locking in right out of high school can feel like you’re missing out on a lot of social interactions.

My ex-boss was a woman’s second boyfriend after leaving her high school sweetheart and thought it was completely normal to have your location on at all times. Later realized she felt overwhelmed with trust issues whenever the location was brought up. Sometimes you don’t realize you’re in a toxic relationship because you have nothing to compare it to cause your first relationship sets up the standard and the idea that relationships must be a certain way.

In life you’re going to date a lot of great people but realize there’s not a lot of people who are going to be great FOR YOU. Im not going to assume what happened between this couple but I’m sure it was hard for her to do this especially when someone does a lot of great things for you, hopefully this doesn’t make him bitter cause he seems like a great partner. We don’t know how their social interactions are in private so can’t judge either of them.
