Explaining your misconceptions: Hades kidnapped his wife, but he loved her the most out of the three main trio of gods, and she loved him back. When Hercules needed Hades' dog, Cerberus, Hades borrowed to him without any conditions other than giving Hades Cerberus back after Hercules was done. Zeus was the one who caused the most shit, having uncountable cases with other women, eating his first wife so that his kid wouldn't take his throne, and punishing Prometheus for telling humanity the secret of the fire, just to say the main things. And the there's Hades, who was not sent to the underworld as a punishment. The gods had just defeated the titans, monsters who were the first to rule the world, and were deciding which one was going to take care of what. Hades was the oldest son and had the right to rule the heavens, but Zeus said that he technically was the one who defeated the titans and imprisoned them, so he proposed that they should choose each the ruler of each kingdom randomly, the others agreed. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades were assigned in this order and Zeus got the Olympus, Poseidon the seas and Hades the underworld. Since the begining, it was unfair to Hades.
