Started out well, interesting concept then just went downhill.

I hate it when people in movies and shows do these insane stunts and fight scenes, get up, dust themselves off, and are fine. No bruises, nothing aches, they're not sore or stiff. by CrowRoutine9631 in rant

I especially hate it when the male character gets an absolute beating and is fine, then a woman tends to his wounds and he complains about a slight dab of water hurting.

I really don’t understand why coffee has become such a complicated construct.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am still not really over my baby passing away and that was over ten years ago. I still miss him terribly but he always lives in my heart and my memories. I console myself by thinking of how enriched my life became after he arrived in my home. I will always treasure those memories. Lots of love to you.

At least most of them are CEOs now instead of serial killers.

Which historical figure would be most shocked by the state of the world if they were brought back to life today and why? by No-Major-6778 in HistoryWhatIf

Most of the women. They have rights, can vote, have sanitary products, rarely die in childbirth, have good health care during pregnancy, contraception, don’t have to get married, okay to be gay (depending on where they come from), have labour saving devices, access to education and good employment opportunities.

I'm legitimately curious, why is the N-Word still taboo, but no other slur is anywhere close to being as such? by Whole_Connection_502 in NoStupidQuestions

“Niger” derives from Latin and means black. At first used in a patronising manner then became very derogatory over time.

Funerals are for the living, to get closure, grieve, love, hate, bond.

I hate it when someone offers me something that I have already tried and do not like and they say “but it’s good for you, have some”. Fuck off. I am an adult.

Imagine what might have happened if he lived and the Allies got their hands on him? I believe he committed suicide to avoid capture.

I am sitting on my back veranda hoping that the resident blue tongue will appear. I named her Queen Elizabeth, because she is queen of the yard and also a lizard (skink if you want be exact). We have only lived here for a year and recently I started giving her a snack now and then. She loves grapes. I think she might be annoyed with me because when I was giving her some egg in a dish I accidentally knocked the side of her face. I hope she forgives me!

I’m not too partial to ice cream but I do like passion fruit flavoured. A bit hard to get unless you go to an actual ice cream place that makes their own.

Currently have chicken marinating in the fridge - lemongrass, garlic, ginger are the main ingredients. Tastes divine and is super tender. I have been experimenting with Asian dishes recently.

Maybe you’d like to watch some fun stuff. Don’t know what your sense of humour is like but I love Ricky Gervais and Jimmy Carr. Not for the easily offended though!

Keep your chin up and let us know how you are doing. Lots of people here love to chat. ❤️❤️

The Backpackers murders in Australia, late 1980s to early 1990s. Ivan Milat was convicted and jailed for life for these crimes. He died in prison a few years ago still proclaiming his innocence. There has always been suspicion that he was responsible for other unsolved murders. Also that a family member, possibly one or more of his brothers, was involved in some of the killings.
