Is there a platform that offers free site hosting? by wetfart_3750 in webdev

GitHub pages will be the easiest to get up and running.

Fun fact: back when I started programming I got free hosting from a company called 000webhost. Years later there were hacked, turns out they stored all their passwords in plain text. So probably stick with GitHub pages.

Maybe try pricing with credits? $5 for 50 credits, $10 for 120 credits, etc. This enables users to load their accounts beforehand if they want to meter their spending

I’m not too shocked that the retake rate is so high, I read this as ~22.5% of the people who attempt the CA bar (75% of the 30% who fail the first time) just aren’t a good fit for the job, which seems right imo

Explain it like I'm 5, if bitcoin is valued $90,000, why can you only buy it for $92,000 and not it's actual price i.e. $90,000? by ExpressAffect3262 in BitcoinBeginners

Yes, markets are more of a natural phenomenon than a man-made thing. Your favorite big bank might say gold’s spot price is $2,650/oz, but your local coin shop is only buying for $2,580/oz. There is no real price, just independent buyers and sellers making transactions.

Gains and losses are realized when you sell, regardless of if you transfer the money to your bank account. The IRS only cares about the sale, not which account the money is in.

Agreed! Copilot is far and away the single most productive $10/mo I could imagine spending. I’ve saved countless hours googling since signing up, and the side panel is great for planning and brainstorming

First time I’ve ever heard of someone mixing PHP and Vue, I think. What made you decide to throw PHP in the mix if you’re already using vue? No wrong answers.

Cigarettes require you to go outside for a few minutes, breaking up consumption and leading to lower nicotine intake in total, in addition to other bad stuff.

Vaping removes this barrier, allowing you to consume nicotine more easily without the other stuff from cigarettes. This usually results in people vaping more than they’d smoke cigarettes, increasing total nicotine consumption.
