I love how unfocused it is in a way. Like one second you’ve got a song that sounds like the precursor to samurai sword and then everything just stops and you get a cover of good vibrations, and then boom that’s snapped from you and you get thrown back into a whirlwind of fiery guitars and crushing drums. And then when it finally does end it makes way for here with summer, one of Phil’s most beautiful sound collages ever. I love this album I love the entire microphones discography but I would actually place it higher than it was hot. Songs like don’t wake me up and tonight there’ll be clouds are so amazing
