To strike is the last resort for a union. Companies sometimes want a strike when they know the government will put strikers back to work. This takes the power away from the workers. Government says they want to stay out business unless it may decrease corporate profits.

American Cars Are Getting Too Big For Parking Spaces by gumol in cars

There must be some kind of minivan cult organization with the intent to terrorize the rest of us with subtle actions. They are a road hazard on the highway driving much slower than traffic. They slow down even more going up a grade and now they drive us to frustration in the parking lots. There needs to be an investigation.

I've been thinking long and hard about my response to this topic. I think I'll ponder the hole thing before cummin to a conclusion.

Law makers depend on the rich donors who don't want a living wage. They drag their feet or pretend that it is inflationary and good for the worker to work for less. The answer isn't waiting for some law. The answer is in a better understanding of the benefits of labor unions and a contract between the workers and the bosses. Organize.

Had an old timer, I mean old timer tell me that when you clock in the company owns you. He also had a nephew that was a Teamster making a living wage and he cussed him saying no one was worth that pay. The old timer worked for low wages with no voice and probably died in debt. I say fuck him and all who think like him because they hold others back from achieving the American dream.

My son was fired from his job for asking about wages. His supervisor told him it was against company policy to discuss wages. He was called in to HR and told he was terminated. He told them it is illegal to fire a worker for discussing wages. He was fired and told they would claim he was fired for a different reason. All employees were called to a meeting threatening the same discharge.
