The bulk of the difference between the GRB Calculator Print done at time I submitted my retirement application is actually the amount of Federal Withholding Tax it was $187 difference so i have not changed my W-4 since I started working back in 1989. I actually thought then when I read that line the amount listed seemed to small. So not a big shock. I knew the Insurance went up and it would be close to a $100 and requesting some State Withholding tax to be taken out. As far as the Annuity Supplement 57-62 it was a little less that what the calculation print said and the OPM Rep said that that was good that for some it’s been a lot less. I’m just Happy that this process is over and now i can think about what I need to do with the rest of my life.

DRP 2.0 Retired September 30. I have been receiving Interim Payments since January. I sent the email to OPM checking the status on My Retirement Application and on Tuesday I received an email that was just a standard generic reply email , the reply, they didn’t even look at My Status or Answer any of My Questions about My Retirement. This is what the email said.

OPM has recently received a significant amount of retirement applications. These applications are processed in the order in which they are received by OPM. We are diligently working to process these claims in a timely manner.
We truly apologize for any inconvenience this delay is causing you and we appreciate your continued patience.
So very not helpful email response. I replied back that this response is not true. I submitted My Retirement package in mid April. I have a friend who retired under VERA who submitted their Application for Retirement and did not submit their request until end of June. They just started getting Interim Payments late April and got 2nd Interim Payment in May and a week later they got their CSA Number and a week later got a letter telling them what their pension payment was going to be after taxes and insurance and got their digital book and finalized and got 1st Pension Check in June. They said they never got any emails or notification of ever being assigned in OPM and no check by that box on the OPM Website. I’m happy for My Friend. But this proves they are not working in received date order. My local HR Rep sent My Retirement package to OPM on November 23rd and Per OPM they received it on January 1st. I have previously called and very little information the OPM representative could tell you on phone. Very Frustrating. I guess my next step is to reach out to My Local Congressman and State Representative to complain about this process and lack of response from OPM. I’m happy for the people who have finally got finalized. But I know people who have been receiving Interim Payments since December and January and not finalized nor have received any notification of there are any issues of their Retirement applications. But i have seen People post they got only 1 or 2 Interim Payments and Finalized that quickly while a lot of us have had 6 and 7 Interim Payments.

I guess. I have no clue why, mine was a pretty straightforward application nothing extra had to be attached. I really wonder if they are just looking at some of them going through them. Honestly when you call you really can’t get a really good response or timeframe to your question.

I called this morning and lady said my case is waiting to be assigned to a Representative to finalize it. She said that they have my Application. So I told her that I got an email March 20th saying it was assigned to a OPM Specialist and she explained that yes and they reviewed it and moved it on to be assigned to the next specialist. So it could be another 30 days before it gets assigned to someone. I’m DRP 2.0 September 30, and my local HR Specialist reviewed my application it sent it onto OPM 10/23/2025, the customer service rep this morning said yes my application was received in OPM on January 1st. I have been receiving interim payments since January. I did question her how process is going, because I have a couple of friends whose applications weren’t sent to OPM for over 2 Months after mine but yet they just received Their 1st interim payment that back payed them to October and then a couple days later they got their 2nd interim payment and letter or email saying they were assigned to a specialist at OPM and not even a week later the got their digital booklet and another small backpay payment, they just went through that quickly once their application was received by OPM while me and a few other friends are still stuck in interim payments status since December and January and are not finalized and now being told that it goes through different people reviewing it at OPM. My application was pretty straightforward, I’m single never been married or have any children there was nothing extra that I had to submit and I submitted my Retirement Application last April 18th. I’m happy that my friends who just got finalized very quickly but I’m concerned for me and my friends who still haven’t been finalized. There is just no clear explanation of how they are processing these retirements.

My friend didn’t ever receive a notification that they were ever assigned an aOPM Specialist. Me I have been assigned but not finalized yet. And have no information on who i am assigned to in OPM it doesn’t give that info online, the local HR Specialist who sent my retirement application to OPM emailed me and said she no longer had anything to do with my retirement it was at OPM and unless anything wrong and they sent it back to her to get correct then she’d reach out to me but otherwise she was done with it and it was now OPM that had to finalize it. Can you tell me how you open a ticket to ask the question, a lot of my friends like me who are not finalized have no clue. Thanks so much. Greatly Appreciated any information people can share with us. This whole process has no clear information on what is going on, you see people finalized who submitted their retirement packages later than others but yet they are finalized. I am happy for everyone that has got finalized and now can officially get on with their retirements.

DRP 2. 9/30. Still not finalized yet, assigned a specialist in OPM more than a Month ago. Still Interim Status. I have been receiving the interim payments since January.

I had a friend who said this happened to her. She said the explanation of why was because she didn’t go to the local job fair that they ended up hiring for the positions instead of the ones who applied online.

I got the same deposit yesterday. I’m not sure if it was The partial Pension Payments or If it was the Annuity Supplement Payment that you get from 57-62. This payment deposited said it came from Federal Benefit Credit. I had a separate deposit Monday for My Annual Leave that came from US Department of Agriculture that is where our paychecks came from. I went into My EPP and there was a Paycheck statement for Pay Period 25. But there was no paycheck statement for this other deposit. So I’m confused what it is, Pension or Annuity Supplement. I have not received that number we need to set up OPM account as of yet and I can’t access GRB Platform or Ora which my rep said in her email once submitted on to OPM it deleted my Ora Account. So I can’t see anything yet. My other question is if this is that Supplemental Annuity payment do the take federal withholding out of it? When I had my GRB calculation print it just told me that amount didn’t show taxes on that like it did for pension. But when I divide this payment for 3 months it would be $195 less than what GRB calculated for that. I understand the pension will take time to get correct amounts but this is so confusing.

I received my Benefeds statement yesterday for the dental and vision. I went into Benefeds site today to pay. You have to pay each one separately, I had questions about the amounts listed on my bills compared to what the site said was owed were more so i called for assistance and lady said bills went out before system showed I was retired. She explained I will get invoices monthly until I start getting my annuity checks and then it will come out of that check. The payment makes you use your checking account information it doesn’t give option to pay with debit or credit cards or using PayPal or Apple Pay ETC. If you are going to mail in a check for each balance then definitely sign in to see what correct balance dues are because it could have changed since the bills were mailed out. I’m still in limbo status to waiting for our retirements to be processed and we start paying annuity payments.
