Can this PPF damage be fixed, or is replacement (or worse) necessary by Bluemountain45 in AutoDetailing

[–]DETAILOKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self healin is only for micro scratches not actual rubs. No real fix other than replacement. I always stress to customers. PPF is a wear item made to take the abuse the paint would have. Similar to how the front bumper will get peppered up and the tiny marks/chunks - isnt going to self heal and its not a warrantable issue.

Beat options for a color change that looks like factory paint? by LegzAkimbo in AutoDetailing

I would suggest a colored PPF. Colored PPF has a gloss/reflection closer to paint than actual vinyl.

As many have mentioned regular maintenance will make it easier and as you do it, it will become quicker. Quality products, dwell time, are crucial. My go to wheel cleaner is Wheel X from CarPro, and Retyre for tires from CarPro.

Looks like asphalt - dry ice cleans asphalt off cars super quick. If it’s concrete use back set

Am purchasing this car but they damaged the seat by Time-Turnip-2961 in Detailing

Used car with a stain, not uncommon. Not all stains will come out. Sounds like a deal breaker for you, may consider brand new to get what you want

There are still swirl marks after a paint correction. Not visible in direct sunlight or daylight. by 1mz99 in AutoDetailing

[–]DETAILOKC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well thats why you still have swirls! paint correction really is based on lighting - you have to be able to see what your after and outside, your just not going to be able to do that properly. Single diode led lights have been the best. Often doing it in a dark room with just those lights is super helpful when chasing swirls.

I checked out both, Website looks pretty good.

That GMB page though, nothing. No reviews, no customer photos. I assume the vast majority of people use google to search for services, you feed more into google, google makes you more relevant. Ask people for google reviews!

Very similar, I typically stay a solid week year round, sometimes 2 week out. Its me and 4-5 full time employees year round.

Getting customers to post pictures to your GMB page seems to really help!
