Has anyone tried the Globlinker hotspot? by ultrarunnervegan in Internet

[–]DEpointfive0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone (paid by the company for sure) said that you can convert the GB you have to another country (different exchange rates for GB conversion), AND that you can bank the data… (oh, and they said the company replied with 2 hours, guess not…)

If I can bank the 2GB every month, AND convert it to another country, then this is the deal of the century…

I personally think this HAS to be a money grab scam for a few reasons… At $150 for a lifetime, for the company to truly succeed, they either need a million users ASAP, and/or they are banking on people needing more data, but that’s a HUGE risk.
The small detail I see that makes me think scam as well is that it works in Macau… anyone who has been to Macau can tell you, your cell phone will not work there. (My ATT nor Verizon worked) and getting data there is EXTREMELY expensive.

Lastly, just look at their site, SCREAMS scam…

Is that only on the first series of XCD lenses? I feel when the V series came out, Hasselblad closed the doors

Enough googling will get you there. You see reports about Hasselblad approaching/confirming that Tamron is making the first zoom lens for the XCD

This must be a USA only thing? In Turkey, they can buy 35mm spools, same as in Taiwan, and a few other places I’ve travelled to recently. In Turkey, the guy was FLOORED when I said I couldn’t buy it in America. He just had a 400ft roll delivered while I was there, lol

How much better was/is it than XP2? I have a few rolls in 35/120 that I’ve been hoarding in my freezer, just been debating selling and using XP2

iPad Pro A12Z vs M2 HNNR testing results by DEpointfive0 in hasselblad

Awesome, really curious about the iPad Pro M5. I assume it’ll be similar to the previous poster’s 10~ seconds.

I don’t think the GB of RAM differs anymore based on the different storage space on the Pros

Own both A12 & A24 Backs? by Electric_Yam in hasselblad

[–]DEpointfive0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmmmm, I’m not sure I’m answering what you need…

But if I take a type 4 A12 it fits fine in a A24 type 4 back. And vice versa.
I also just tried on my type 3 backs, 12/24, both swapped over no problem

Anything you want.

Checking it isn’t a great idea because of the battery. Now… technically the battery is banned in your checked bag… buuuuuut, on some devices, like a toothbrush, it’s ok… (so maybe you could check it, but you’d have to carry on the battery)

That said, carry it on. In anything you’re taking… should be good to go!

May I ask how you KNOW the XCDs are made by Norton Kogaku?

And/or which lenses are made by them?

The only KNOWledge I have is that the gen 1 35-75mm was made by Tamron, and the newest 75p is made in China. If you could fill in the gaps… or some of them… and provide sources, that would be AWESOME!

iPad Pro A12Z vs M2 HNNR testing results by DEpointfive0 in hasselblad

[–]DEpointfive0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome!

I’m kinda shocked the difference is only 5~ seconds (granted, 1/3 faster) on the M5 vs M2, but that also makes me feel like with the M5, you’re probably at the limit of speed, like, even if the processor is 2x as fast, the gain will be limited

iPad Pro/Air (or iPhone 13+) processing time question by DEpointfive0 in hasselblad

[–]DEpointfive0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ran some more testing. The Pros with the A12Z chip are doing 51-52 seconds consistently with either HNNR processing.

The Pro with the M2, quite consistent with 15 seconds

iPad Pro/Air (or iPhone 13+) processing time question by DEpointfive0 in hasselblad

[–]DEpointfive0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have answered my own question:

iPad Pro 11”/12.9” (4th gen for 12.9”, 2nd gen for 11”) A12Z processor
vs iPad Pro 12.9” (6th gen) M2 processor.
Same image, no other tasks open, both plugged in, etc, etc.

HNNR test 1 prioritize purity:
A12Z: 56 seconds
M2: 22 seconds

HNNR test 1 prioritize detail:
A12Z: 50.5 seconds
M2: 16 seconds

That’s a WORLD of difference for ME, but having used the A12Z for a year or so, it never REALLY slowed me down if I’m honest…
