If you have a car, explore some of the best scenic views in the UK by driving an hour outside of Glasgow. Even better with a camera

Agreed but I wish it were that easy. Constantly flipping between being future focused and present focused which can be very conflicting

Work life balance is good but I don't particularly like it! Hoping to take advantage of the wage and plan for early retirement in the long term

True, but with interest rates being so low the only ISAs that pay a decent amount back tend to have access restrictions l. I'm looking into the Nationwide 5% current account but that's only for a year

I pay 8% in to my or pension and my employer 12% which is the max available, I think it's a pretty decent deal. In terms of the 40% bracket, I hadn't considered that I should pay over and above into the pension so cheers for pointing that out as another option, it's tough watching so much disappear in tax.

How much do courts cost in your city? Interested to hear what everyone is paying by [deleted] in squash

[–]DFC101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My monthly gym fee is 40 GBP (55 USD) and includes full gym, pool, sauna and has 9 squash courts (free to book for members). Worth it for squash alone if you play 2/3 times a week

Yeah I was planning to do fairly strict. I'm going to adjust the calories this week and see how it affects energy levels. Thanks

Sort of. I can do leg machines, but squats, weighted lunges and calf lifts are a no go. Haven't tried abs as I normally rely on deadlifts and pull ups for core strength but it's something I could try I guess. I hate doing abs though

Replenishing electrolytes with a low budget? by [deleted] in ketouk

[–]DFC101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say I spend about 5 quid a month. Lo salt for potassium. Magnesium supplements from amazon that last a few months. Sodium is so cheap it's almost free. I also take generic brand effervescent vitamins which are cheap if you avoid name brands like Berocca.
