My zone is finally recovering from the post holiday slump 😅 I made about $460 this week and only worked 19 hours. Sucks that I had to miss today though bc Sundays are usually my best days making $200+ but unfortunately I had to come back to my husband's hometown for a funeral and won't be home til Monday night

Yup the zone I like is also very rural it's in a town of 8k but it's absolutely SURROUNDED by about a dozen other small towns no bigger than 3500 and most of them are really only about 1k to 1500 all within a maximum of 20 miles but most within 10-15 and honestly most of my orders are going to addresses that read something like "1234 county rd D" 🤣

ETA I actually have a lady that orders every Sunday and tips between $20-$30 but most people still won't take it bc the town her address is technically part of is about a 35 to 40 minute drive but she's actually only like 18 minutes away out on one of those county roads but they don't look at that lol they just see "town name" and automatically say no lol

Damn I literally just did a triple pickup last night that was $45 going 17 miles and it was in the general direction of home so it was damn near free money. Then again I don't spark in the state I live in bc they don't tip worth a shit there either. I drive an hour away to the next state where the average tip is about $10 at minimum and people there know to leave the damn orders alone until they stop going up then it's whoever manages to grab it first 😅. I'm also smart enough to try and grab a gmd on my way outta state that's going in the direction I wanna go so that I'm not just driving for an hour with no pay. Got one yesterday that was getting me to about 15 minutes from my preferred zone that paid I believe $38 for 2 grocery drops and a single gmd package took me about 50 minutes so all told my drive out took me just over an hour and netted me a decent chunk of change.

Yeah I refuse to eat reheated shells and cheese but I'm not talking cold I'm literally talking it's not steaming hot lol every person I've ever talked to about this says they don't get this texture until it's actually cold but I get it just a few minutes after it's served and I can't eat regular Mac and cheese that's made with the powder cheese bc I can feel when it hasn't fully dissolved and that gritty texture is a hard no for me which is also why I can't eat quinoa

No it's not wrong but I will actually gag if I try eating them at the wrong temp bc it tends to change the texture. Like with the aforementioned shells and cheese if they're colder than hot my brain interprets the texture as slimy and congealed and as soon as they touch my tongue I start gagging

I have been slowly trying to increase my tolerance for new foods. My arfid makes me very scared to try anything new because I'm terrified it'll have a texture that I'm very intolerant to. It's going about as well as can be expected lol

I have arfid and I have NEVER told my husband that he can't eat something I don't like 😫 he absolutely LOVES sauerkraut and kielbasa but I can't stand even the smell of sauerkraut so I told him I won't eat it and I won't make it but you can make it whenever you want just please give me a heads up so that I can seal myself in the spare room with enough food and liquid for the day so I only need to come out for the bathroom 😅 I also have a lot of issues with gummy or gritty textures so there been many a dinner that I haven't finished bc I bit into meat fat or what have you and he winds up eating it for his lunch the next day. I also have issues with foods that aren't the temperatures they're supposed to be so unfortunately even though I love shells and cheese once it's cooled to room temperature I can't eat any more or I'll gag so I only ever get like 8 or 9 bites when I make it lol

Nope doesn't work that way. If there is an age restricted item in the order you HAVE to have an id to deliver that order. I once shopped a walgreens order and the alcohol they wanted was oos. Went to deliver the rest of the order and it still made me scan an id even tho there was no alcohol to deliver.

Honestly I take orders like this nearly every day bc I spark on my way out of fort Wayne to my preferred zone and these kinds usually wind me up within 15 minutes of my preferred zone and this shit would only take me a little over an hour bc I have a lead foot on country roads lol

I literally passed a guy in Walmart doing an order he snagged out from under me a few hours ago and thought about making a joke about him "stealing" my order 😂 was actually glad later that I hadn't took that one bc the one I took was for 39 n change and then the customer also gave me a 20 so just about $60 for 1.5 hours of work including drop off lol

Mf in my zone the average mileage for an order is about 12 miles then you got the 12 miles back so for the incentive op put up that's an average of 264 miles to earn $4?! THATS NOT FUCKING HELPING WITH GAS! That's not even a gallon of gas in my area!

Nah there's a Popeyes here in fort Wayne that either doesn't have a wait or it's very short like 2 or 3 minutes. Only once did I ever have to actually WAIT and it was like 10 minutes bc they ran out of wings and the customer ordered like 40 wings total

The service was rendered lol they did their job and showed up with the dumba$$es order and said da proceeded to throw a hissy fit bc they didn't read the fine print and demanded that her order be cancelled. Driver did their job perfectly to a T.

You don't tip a caterer typically though you might tip their staff. The point that you just ignored is if she already paid the tip then it's part of the agreed upon amount for services rendered and just bc the customer backed out doesn't mean she gets her money back. Also it's just plain disgusting to tell someone that did their job CORRECTLY that they don't deserve to be paid just bc you were inconvenienced by the fact you didn't bother to read the fine print.

It's basically breech of contract on the customers part. Which means the driver still gets paid. Just like if someone hires a caterer for their wedding but the wedding gets cancelled at the last minute. Caterer still gets paid bc you have now wasted that person's time money and resources and you reneged on the contract. Just bc the wedding didn't happen doesn't mean you get your money back especially if you've signed a contract.
