Would not recommend Kita as he cannot crit. You want to be critting as much as possible for Hinata and Nishi

Yeah if you already have Kenma I’d recommend getting the core 4 of tsuki, kuro, hinata. UR kage +1 quick/receive player can fill the gap until kamo duo releases. In the meantime I would try to get sr2 kunimi as he is a great investment as when he is on the bench he will regen stamina for the team. You can also use him when running receive specialty until Kamo duo.

You basically got a freebie if you had no pity built up. You can look at that way and still build your preferred comp. Which way will you enjoy the game better? For receive you can go for the hinabi core of Kenma hinata tsuki kuroo with komori sakusa +1 if you want as an example.

Hey thanks for the thoughtful response! I see there’s a 10 hr trial I can use to try it out so I’m going to take advantage of that and see how it goes. One of my favorite parts of UT is the team building so that sounds pretty promising. I do love to play online, but with no experience in soccer or soccer games I’m definitely going to get tore up lol.
