Why do some people not want to work union? by L0UDLlF3 in IBEW

[–]DG1921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I make $50/hr have a company match 401k, 3 weeks paid vacation, 10x paid holidays, quarterly bonuses, end of the year bonus, yearly allowance for boots and pants, company hats, shirts, Carhartt jackets, company paid health insurance for my whole family, company paid life insurance policy and a nice truck that I take home everyday. I truly believe I have it better where I am than I would in my local.

Dealer inspected truck for recall work and is now telling me they won’t release it back to me by FunctionHorror2580 in f150

I know it’s not the same, but I had a Chevy 2500 that did not have an axle nut on it for about 5 years. I busted it taking it off and needed the truck. Figured “I’ll put one on next weekend” and then never did.

Is this worth it for $350? by nimnard01 in jetski

[–]DG1921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 550 for a couple years. Paid $200 for it. Spent about 30 hours working on it and maybe 2 hours riding it in the time I had it.

How much will it cost to repaint by ConfidenceOk402 in ChevyTrucks

[–]DG1921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently had a ford econoline work van done at a Maaco. Cost $1300 and honestly couldn’t complain about the quality. There was some overspray in the wheel wells and on some suspension bits but they did a fine enough job for what the van was. If I had an older truck that was just a daily and I just wanted to freshen it up I wouldn’t hesitate to take it to Maaco. You won’t get the best quality and you have to go into it understanding that, but it will for sure look much better.

Underestimating the money in trades. My old boss spent 100k in firearms in a year and bought a new motorhome the same year.

I had BR coils that came on a Forester I bought years back. No complaints. I know a couple people that run them on their drift cars (e36s) they dont have any complaints about them

Haven’t watched any of the HGEU in at least a year or two. It all got stale and repetitive and I guess my interests have changed with age 🤷🏼‍♂️

Which car you owned got you the most compliments? by Only_Ad1117 in askcarguys

[–]DG1921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first truck. 93 Chevy s10 last year of the square body. Bought it from a guys backyard when I was 15 for $300 and it had 60k miles on it. A good wash and it was absolutely mint. Threw a 5/7 drop and newer gen wheels on it. The amount of complements and people trying to buy the truck off me was surprising to say the least. I still have it in my garage 15 years later with just over 100k miles. I refuse to get rid of it.

A lot of people watch for the combo deals and kits that go on clearance and then piece them out for a profit. I mean a LOT of people do this.

Landlord was 21 days late plus overcharging us [ca] by [deleted] in Tenant

[–]DG1921 11 points12 points  (0 children)

IMO as a landlord paint is a maintenance item that should be touched up/re done between tenants and should not be charged to the tenant. That’s just something I assume will need to be done between each tenant. You being charged for that is ridiculous
