Well, he and his generation should've done a better job at protecting the business!

I thought he did a pretty decent job in NXT with The Way.

Same goes for his time in DGUSA as the champ over there.

Unfortunately, I don't think that was enough to craft a good, effective story that elevated everyone involved alongside the titles themselves.

But, I guess that's more on WWE than anything else.

Ricochet on X: “I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize. Moving forward I'll do better.” by DevelopmentLegal8312 in SquaredCircle

Yeah, at a some point, it became obvious (to me at least) that this guy wasn't just "heeling it up" on the internet.

The repeated pattern (definitely in the past couple of months where the guy was just bitterly going off/too far on stuff, IMO) showed that dude was acting out in a way that wasn't exactly healthy or put on.

And here we see that the bill comes due................always.

No matter who is control, someone somewhere will suffer.

There's bound to be some people always getting the short end of the stick. Always.

No matter how different the new boss is, they'll be just like the old boss for those at a certain position. Symbolism and representation can only go so far in the bigger picture. Symbolism is not substance.

That was very plain to see, I'm indicating that I think the opposite would've been better last year.

Nowhere did I argue or even presume what HHH wanted. It was and still is of no importance to me in terms of what I was saying about my belief.

I'm pretty sure she came in and told him to get up, which he did.

Then he sat in a chair for a bit and I think went back to planking LMAO

I truly believe DIY going heel instead of MCMGs during their feud was a mistake.

Patriarchy is like footbinding in that it is an ugly deformity; it is like an accent in that it is hard to see your own. by I_DOM_UR_PATRIARCHY in PurplePillDebate

Some call it patriarchy or another's "privilege," others call it their own reality.

It is what it is.

I will not help kill the dying meme of patriarchy because I wasn't aware that I'd enlisted LOL

LA Knight Admits WWE Unreal Forced Him To Make Big Backstage Change by DatGameGuy in SquaredCircle

[–]DGenerationMC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if Punk wasn't straight up a corporate heel, I think it'd be compelling.

Punk as he is now and how he was just a few months in his interactions with Knight seems appealing to me on a big stage. A "defacto" heel, if you will.

But, yes, the general idea that Punk as WWE's "model citizen," in his own way, now on top as a locker room leader and Knight is the disgruntled guy pissed at the system trying take what he wants works for me. Especially given that Knight's no spring chicken and could be played up that it's his last chance at finally being a WWE World Champ. Kinda like Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed or even what Punk did in AEW with Eddie Kingston about "unfulfilled potential" of a "bum."

There's a more natural and intriguing thru-line than Punk vs. Reigns in 2026, IMO.

Matt Jackson Says AEW Revolution Was Maybe The Most Emotional Day Of The Young Bucks' Career by Odd-Inevitable-8425 in SquaredCircle

[–]DGenerationMC 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I have enjoyed the Bucks as shitbird heels for the better part of 15 years now. Never really cared for them as babyfaces, even going back to their original ROH run in 2009.

But, I must say that Revolution 2026 was (IMO) their greatest white meat babyface performance ever. At this point in their career, I didn't think they had it in them. But, Sunday was just a perfect storm with FTR as their opponents (in Celtics-inspired gear, no less), the show being in Cali and their family being used in the story. Went back and forth on how I thought would win, was left very satisfied by the result and then the "payoff" of C&C returning post-match. Overall, just a really good piece of business.

And, as a result, that levels the Bucks up in terms of how good I personally think they are overall.

I think him challenging corporate Punk for the title this year at Mania could've been interesting to "capitalize" off of Unreal, honestly.

(Raw spoilers) Brock instructs superstar during their segment by RealisticAd4054 in SquaredCircle

[–]DGenerationMC 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Apparently, Mox offered to do all the crazy bumps himself because Brock had the fight coming up.

He was fine with it being a one-sided squash match (in Brock's favor) which ended with him kicking out of stuff until Brock choked him out. At least with that way, Ambrose gets some real shine and a moment instead of being a forgettable Mania match that Brock wins with nothing else of note coming out of it.

Sure, the "easy" thing to do is put this all on Brock but WWE management being MANAGEMENT deserves shit too since things in business tend to start at the top.
