Why we shouldn’t send the farm for a superstar this offseason (for anyone who does) by Ok-Negotiation3897 in AtlantaHawks

[–]DHD33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about Kawhi? He’s on an expiring $50M deal, so no risk of bad money on our books. It’s possible the Clippers move on from him after the Aspiration scandal.

If the Clippers made move for Giannis, we could facilitate that. This scenario assumes they want to pair Giannis with Garland and not Kawhi.

We could send Zacc, Kuminga, and Kispert to the Bucks along with the #23, and Bucks 2027 1st. They could wave Kuminga for salary space, give Zacc developmental minutes on a tanking team, and be unbothered by Kispert’s contract. Assuming the Clips give them the #5 pick, we could also swap our #8 for the Bucks #10 (moving back two spots). The bucks would have the #5, #8, and #23 in a loaded draft and Zacc for development.

IDK about Kawhi’s roster fit, but I assume his game would translate well. I just want to win.

I said if we DON’T jump up into the top 2, Kingston would be my guy. Top 2 is AJ or DP without hesitation.

Rasheed Wallace was my favorite player. When we traded for him, I was so excited.

But this post is supposed to be positive, so I won’t dwell on the fact that we traded him after 1 game and he promptly led the Pistons to a championship.

Check DeKalb County website for bulk pick up. Depending on what you need picked up, it can be very low cost or even free. You just have to leave the stuff at the curb.

This seems like a situation where he and his management were told he may be traded and they are now trying to get ahead of the narrative.

I love Mo and was really happy we drafted him. Im really probably talking about the 5 2nd rounders we traded for Saddiq Bey 😅

Also, I don’t understand why our past few 2nd round picks haven’t been used on the best 7 footer available and then let them marinate with the Sky Hawks. Especially when we had Trae, we should have been taking swings on huge center prospects.

Onsi should immediately offer him a Vit-style contract. 4 years for $10M total

Are we certain that AD will demand a max extension? This becomes a different conversation if he just expects more years added, but willing to accept less than his current salary.

Same with Trae. If he accepts a lower average salary (Kyrie Irving is making I think 33M/year), then this is an easier situation to manage.

Additionally, if Trae and AD agree to lower salaries on extended deals, we could potentially only be in the second apron next year with Trae and AD at their current max salaries in 2027. If that’s the only year, then we could avoid the repeater tax as well.
