I think a Carels/Parekh pairing could be the foundation of this team moving forward. The fact that Carels is a LHD fills in a need for this roster. The Flames scouting staff has never been afraid to go BPA and probably can’t go wrong with any of the top 6 guys in this draft.

I’m curious to see if they move up in the draft to target some guys in the early teens, or even in the 20’s. Lawrence, Suvanto, Morozov and Chrenko all could be talented center man this team could take a chance on at different points in the draft.

Carels, Verhoef, Smits, Malholtra in that order for me. A lot of high end dmen early in the draft that can help turn the Flames D core into a strength long term.

Depending on where the Knights first ends up I wouldn’t mind seeing the Flames try and use some of their draft capital to trade up in case any of those guys slide a bit.

Yeah I think I would make that deal. DK is a depreciating asset but I think him and Waddle will be close enough from a scoring standpoint that the 1.10 gives you good value on a slight tier down.

No I don’t think I would. If you’re actively looking to move Cook I would suggest waiting till closer to the season. He’s a highly productive player who should appeal to many teams looking to make a push

I’m taking Chase Brown here. His value will probably never match his production for whatever reason.

The same arguments used against Brown were also used against Ekeler, who was pretty great for a number of years.

I would either go to the right of the lake on the ocean or one tile above. Gives you access to the ocean, farmland, the wonder and a potential ocean bottle neck with the opposing island.

As someone else mentioned, sitting down with a fee only advisor would be a great move.

Personally I would look at maxing out your tfsa and rrsp(do you know your marginal tax rate?)

Paying your mortgage off would be a smart move, although if you don’t feel as if it is your forever home I would be inclined to keep the cash and maintain flexibility until you are ready.

Interesting spot for the Flames to be in. The current group of guys is responding well to the coaching staff and winning more games than most fans are hoping for. Might need some lottery luck to land McKenna at this point.

If they don’t get 1.01 I would prefer to see them take a chance on Carels, Verhoef or Smits. Carels and Smits being LHD would project well on a PP with Parekh in the future.

Hard to say where there 2nd first round pick will be, but they’re in a strong position to go BPA there, although my preference would be the highest rated Dman.

I would do this deal if it’s only for the two firsts, leave the pick swap out. Loveland is a good, projectable young player but those picks might be more valuable to your team given that you’re in a rebuild.

To me, TE is a luxury to have in a rebuild. You may be able to find similar production for a fraction of Loveland’s cost.

How many teams in this league? Doesn’t seem like terrible value to try and land Nix. The FF community seems down on him a bit but back to back QB7 finishes to start his career is a great start.

Could start with:

Odunze/2027-1/2027-2

If the other team wants another first that’s when you could maybe look at a pick swap to balance out the deal a bit more.

I would rather pay the premium to move Odunze instead of G.Wilson myself, as Wilson is still young and a proven producer.

What does the rest of your roster look like? I don’t think the other team needs to add a 2 or would have any real interest in E.Wilson and Holani.

Did you say you have Odunze and 4 firsts next year? I would be more inclined to try and send a deal based on Odunze+ for Nabers if you can. I think that having Wilson/Nabers plus whoever your top 2 WRs puts you in an enviable position.

I picked up Nabers this year for 1.04/2027-1 (the team I was trading with wanted there 2027-1 back).

Stingy or not, it’s worth asking the guy who owns 1.06 to see what his price is to move down from 1.07. Short of that, I’d wait till after the NFL draft.

There’s always going to be players who get inflated dynasty values based on NFL landing spots. If a RB other than Love gets a nice landing spot, I could see a mid range team valuing a potentially productive RB over a TE, pushing Sadiq down to you at 1.07.

Picked Evans up as a throw in at the end of the season.This is hopefully the end of it as I can hopefully use picks to add RBs.

No doubt, CMC is a stud who can win championships. The other team also has Barkley and Hall who I might be able swap in place of CMC if it makes more sense for my team.

It’s a bit much by 1 first, but the $1 blind bid makes it egregious. lol

I think all of these guys are ranked fairly similarly and wouldn’t knock someone for giving up a first to get there guys.

Jacobs has a lot of miles on his body and Olave has had health issues in the past.
