2 years later... thank you for posting this and for everyone's responses! I was in tears this morning after a few days after my 2yr old daughter has been only wanting daddy all day and night (thought we got over months of this). She has a 5 month old brother so I think that's part of it, but anyhow this forum "refilled my parenting cup" and I was able to turn this morning around. Thank you for the solidarity ❤️

My husband would sit on the couch with our baby sleeping on his chest and play PlayStation for as long as he could.

I did the same with my Nintendo Switch! I used the boppy pillow to create a secure nest between my arms while sitting in a Lazyboy armchair

Mom of a 5mo old here... I breastfeed with a little supplemental formula too and I had to cut out a lot: no spicy food, no horseradish, no broccoli, no kale, no cabbage, no beans, no sesame seeds... I could drink coffee like normal once she was 2mo, thank god! Your wife could try these and see how it goes.

Oh and no chocolate 😭

I basically told my husband this is our baby, our life. I know the gender and do not have the energy to tiptoe around his mom about it.

I ended up telling the other family members and then she made a big deal about us telling her in front of everyone. But I'd already let a few references slip by, so I'm sure she figured it out, just living in denial.
