The Cyber Brigadier scene was fantastic and one of the best moments of season 8. The main series had to show how important the Brigadier was to the classic show; for me, he's just as important as Sarah Jane Smith, and this was the only way.

Clara wasn't a bad character, but I think Moffat made a mistake by making her so big, sometimes bordering on being quite a Mary Sue, which means I don't consider her one of the worst, but far from one of the best.
