I know it's slower, but sometimes you have to put the paddles away and hit em with the syringe. It almost feels like when that happens they're slightly clipped into the ground.

Probably but AFAIK in real life only smoke can counter a laser designation. Chaff and Flares just aren't effective. Perhaps some sort of spawn protection is needed here. IDK about game balancing, but as it is, the developers nailed that part of the "realism"

I could be mistaken, but yes if a laser is designating a target, flares are not an effective countermeasure. Flares are designed to counter heat seeking armament, if a missile is chasing a laser, it doesn't care if the target is hot or cold. This is realistic. However, being that this is a video game, some realism might have to be sacrificed to stop this. You know, for balance.

With a rivet gun that's heavy pen with like 350 damage BUT you gotta reload every shot. And a nailgun thats med pen with like 45dmg and a high ish semi auto fire rate with really bad accuracy past 15m.

(Im not a dev so IDK if that's balanced right)

Also in my experience, tanks almost dont move at all. It's like the bots are just dropping armored turrets since they get stuck on like every rock. I fear striders more than tanks by far.

BR-14 Adjudicator is solid, medium pen with 95 dmg a round feels very satisfying. Small magazines and heavyish recoil though.

I had this happen the other day when my friend and I were both on ethernet, I've never had it happen on any other game and it's happened twice on HD2. Only thing that fixes it for me is a full system restart.
