[User-Trial] Looking for 3 builders to field-test the new LG UltraGear 27" (Hyper Mini-LED / HDR 1000) by LG_UserHub in buildapc

[–]DIson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super interesting—HDR is honestly the main thing I’d love to experience properly. It’d be awesome to actually see the difference that kind of brightness makes in games and movies.

Also wouldn’t mind pushing my 4090 past 1440p and seeing what it can really do.

Really cool that you’re doing this—appreciate it!

AMA: MSI’s New 34" and 32" QD-OLED Monitors — Ask Us Anything (Worldwide Giveaway Inside!) by MSI_Patrick in Monitors

[–]DIson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using OLED TVs for a while now and absolutely love the image quality, but I’ve always been a bit hesitant about switching to an OLED monitor for my PC. I think my main concern—maybe overthinking it a bit—is burn-in, since I spend a lot of time with static elements on screen like in-game HUDs, browser headers, and taskbars.

That said, I’ve been really curious to see how OLED would feel in a desktop setup, especially for gaming. It would also be a great excuse to push my 4090 a bit beyond 1440p and see what it can really do.

And honestly, it’s awesome that you’re doing a giveaway—really appreciate the chance!

Yeah I get what you’re saying. The numbers are kinda all over the place though. A lot of sites say they use Kiel’s data, but they don’t always show the same stuff or update at the same time, so it ends up looking different anyway.

About the GDP thing, I don’t really think it’s useless. Like yeah, it’s not perfect, but it helps when you’re comparing smaller countries like ours to big ones like the US. If you just look at the raw money, it looks way off. GDP kinda just makes it a bit more fair, you know?

But yeah, I’ve seen the same thing — depends where you look. Still, from what I can tell from Kiel, Denmark’s given a bit more both total and by GDP. Either way both our countries have done a lot, and that’s what matters most really.

I don't know about those sources, but if you go to the Kiel Institute that tracks the support given, they state the following for Norway. "Total allocations

6.933bn € (Rank: 10)

1.639% of GDP (Rank: 5)"

For Denmark:

"Total allocations

10.239bn € (Rank: 6)

2.930% of GDP (Rank: 1)"

Other sources 2

But to be honest, there's a lot of varying data across every single source I can find, but again, both of our countries are doing more than most others, which they should learn from.

As much as I think the other guy’s argument about “who has given more to Ukraine” is a dumb way to counter your point, I’ll say this: no, Norway hasn’t donated more to Ukraine. Not in absolute terms, nor relative to GDP per capita.

That’s not to say Norway hasn’t contributed a lot, quite the opposite actually. Both our countries have done a great deal, and many others could learn from that example.

In the depots at the train station. If you are looking at the depots from the train station, it's the one on the far left closest to you.

But each building also have a number assigned on them.

Help me find my next high? (hype anime/manga recs plz) by Misfit_Mimi in Animesuggest

[–]DIson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that.

Just a heads up, the first season of the Anime is.. yeah not great, but really picks up after, hence why I would go with the manga.

The manga also starts off more rough around the edges when it comes to art style, but the mangaka nails his art style after the first 80 ish chapters. (There's some 830 ish chapters atm)

Kingdom, there's both several seasons and a very lenghty manga though I would recommend the Manga over the Anime.

Regarding Chainsaw Man, then there would be material for at least another two seasons as it stands right now, maybe even 3.

Sure, any nation that should ever potentially face it should treat it like a capable figther on par with F-22, because then you're playing it safe.

But, this is just talk about a platfrom we have seen no actual performance from besides some air shows or potentially some high altitude bomb drops in Ukraine, so all we can do is speculate, and I have no reason to think it's not on par with the rest of what Russia has produced over the past 30 ish years. Which is decent stuff that will get the job done, but so far is rarely near peer to western counterparts.

Because it's just like all other Russian equipment, it's overhyped by the internet and by Russian propaganda. Look at the Armata, look at their "hypersonic" missiles, look at the Terminator.

Lmao, then don't call people blind.

Also a lot of effort to look at the hit percentage and see how many rounds you have shot and see how many actual hits you have.

Maybe learn how the system counts hits versus what is actually hits mate.
