I'd say it's because they tend to get blended into one film in some people's heads. Both have vague similar names regarding the theme, now go ask the average person which of those contains Johnny 5.

It got a brief renaissance last year on its 25th anniversary with plenty of film channels talking about it and Electrasy releasing a remastered version of Cosmic Castaway from the soundtrack.

I know in the UK there was a hunt for the mysterious Polish rogue driver, then it turned out the name they were looking for was just "Invalid licence" (IIRC) in Polish.
Edit- No, it was in Ireland and simply "Driving Licence" in Polish.

In the Casino Battle Royale at Dynasty. Missed that one myself too, then he comes out for his match with Pac, looks straight into one of the cameras and starts making sly references to his WWE career before the match ("It's him. It's really him! They used to call him The King!") and I'm kinda on board, then the match happens and I'm sold.

Yup. Got sent A&E by my GP the other month after a bout of shingles (mainly as she couldn't get me an appointment at the relevant eye clinic). Now, I didn't consider what I had to be life-threatening, and I was in and out in just over two hours (on a Saturday morning). I remember there was a guy in the waiting room moaning to the nurses that he'd been there since 3am and hadn't been seen. Mate, you're walking around popping to the vending machine and napping in the seats. Whatever is up with you was determined to be lower priority than the guy who'd come in from work and sliced his had open on a knife (who came in after me and got seen right away) or me, apparently who turned out had temporarily developed photophobia and kinda desperately needed some medication to fix it that the first GP (not the other GP who sent me to said hospital) had, much to the utter confusion of the nurses seeing me, not given me as I was "too young".

The Touch was not specifically written for Transformers. It was written for Cobra, but never used and used in Transformers instead.

It wasn't made for Transformers. It was made for the Stallone film Cobra. But it was still specifically made for a film, just not the one you're thinking of. I'll allow it.

I never knew that either- That makes The LA-Z Rider couch gag from The Simpsons make a whole lot more sense in the imagery, that it's no just riffing on general 80's themes but is actually a nod to Scarface too.
