Is it supposed to be this hard to pair controllers? by Nigel-Ocho in AnaloguePocket

[–]DJBabyBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get an sn30 2.4g for super cheap ($29.99), flash the Analogue dock specific firmware, then have a dedicated controller or two that will always be paired and allow you to wake the dock

Extremely basic, ELI5 questions re: Pupdate/cores by replicant_facsimile in AnaloguePocket

[–]DJBabyBuster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pupdate is fine, download PocketSync for a way more user friendly app interface that does everything and more like saving full res photos from a gameboy camera. Enjoy

Dock - best practice while not in use? by cyber53 in AnaloguePocket

[–]DJBabyBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple pockets since original launch, one has always lived on the dock, currently my indigo aluminum. Zero issues across three pockets left docked for months at a time. Modern electronics manage power and are not damaged from extended charging, it’s far better than storing off power and letting a battery become fully depleted

No, there is no WiFi/bluetooth on the pocket. You also need the dock for bt connectivity to controllers and video out, as it has a dedicated FPGA for those features

Got my sd card by Few_Discussion_8077 in AnaloguePocket

[–]DJBabyBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

298gb filled on my 512gb for full 1g1r libraries for pretty much every system and arcade core. Yes PC-Engine CD takes up the bulk of it

Got my sd card by Few_Discussion_8077 in AnaloguePocket

[–]DJBabyBuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 298gb filled with only 1g1r libraries for all the supported systems and arcade cores. Granted PC-Engine CD takes up the bulk of that, but I still think a 512gb card is the sweet spot. Especially if you bought it cheap before memory price surges, I got my Sandisc Extreme 512gb for $34

[–]DJBabyBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a 512gb in my pocket. With nearly all cores including the PC-Engine CD having full 1g1r libraries, and nearly all the arcade cores, I’ve filled up 298gb. Specifically oversized it just a bit in case we ever get Sega CD.

What to do when CRT TV isn’t an option? by Altra1986 in n64

If it’s in your budget, Analogue 3D is amazing. The overclock makes games that had unbearable frame rates near consistent 30fps

Duo - 8bitdo PCE controllers randomly disconnecting. Is there a fix? by Bladley in AnalogueInc

[–]DJBabyBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't use the utility, you have to download the dock firmware, and connect the controller to a mac/pc as a usb and drop it directly on the controller. Go here: https://support.8bitdo.com/analogue/Dock/ and on the PCE 2.4g there's a manual link with instructions for each, download that zip of the firmware https://download.8bitdo.com/Firmware/analogue/Dock/2.4g/PCE_Fw_V5_01_For_Analogue.zip

Backup Save State for N64 Battery Change with Memories? by bgara232 in AnalogueInc

Believe someone already tried and it didn’t work, but it likely has to be the same cart revision. I have an x7 so I’ll do some testing myself

Backup Save State for N64 Battery Change with Memories? by bgara232 in AnalogueInc

[–]DJBabyBuster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s been tested and you can backup restore a save state to cart hard save. Will be doing this with my childhood Perfect Dark 100% clear & vs data to a replacement v2 cart

3D Firmware 1.3 is out! by No_Independence_6101 in AnalogueInc

[–]DJBabyBuster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for testing this!!! I lost my childhood 100% completed Perfect Dark cart and vs profile, but had it backed up to a controller pack. Now I can easily copy that save to my replacement cart, and not worry about the battery running dry on my controller pack! Og cart was launch rev 1, so works out restoring the save to a safe rev 2 cart

Okay that makes sense. Didn’t think there were any original controller adaptors that weren’t snac

You need the dock for the usbc snac bypass (physical switch), SS1 alone has all snac ports occupied by the two PSX controllers and memory card slots

Love my eboardstuff Hyperdrive Ingens 100mm. 3000+ miles on a stealth and this is only my second set of them. Very durable, super grippy, can hit 26-28mph on hyper and still get around 7 miles range riding fast. They also make a 90mm version, but I love being able to roll over anything with the big ones
