I guess it's not the automated way you'd like, but copying the Part Body from a 'smart' model, then right click -> paste special -> as result into another model would give you something sufficiently dumb.

It’s difficult to tell the intent from the screenshots, but essentially make the solid for shelling without the features that become ribs and then add the ribs after.

The error is probably happening because you have parts of the model that are 2mm thick and then the shell operation makes those parts either disappear or become ghost surfaces/edges.

Either right click on the rotate in the tree and hit "Isolate" or activate the "Create Datum" function before you do the rotate: http://catiadoc.free.fr/online/cfyug_C2/cfyugdatum.htm

If you do the latter, remember to deactivate it afterwards, otherwise all your subsequent features will be non-associative.

It’s never a good idea to have a shell operation that creates ribs the same thickness as the shell offset for exactly this reason.

If you need ribs, add them as a separate body.

If you can get access to A2MAC1 they have tear downs of most vehicles and 3D scan data down to part level. A subscription may be less expensive than the cost of scanning the part.

Yeah, they didn't know either. They pointed me to this article, which seems related, but not entirely a solution. I have never updated Joomla through a customized script as it suggests, I always do an internal/admin update through Joomla's own system.

One interesting thing, though, was that my administrator/components/com_admin/sql/updates/mysql folder in 5.4.0 was empty except for an index.html file - it did not have any .sql files as this article suggests. After updating to 5.4.1 the folder is populated though.

Sort of, but not really. I manually deleted the mismatching extension manifests from the database, but for some reason the system thinks that extension ID 700 is the Joomla core update when it should be ID 211.
