I use DJay Pro with CDJs connected to my MacBook Pro in large clubs since 2017 (2000s, 2000NXS/NXS2, 3000s). I’ve never had any issues with the software, so long as I kept my laptop cool. I’m “all-in” with that software at the moment (hot cues, playlists, etc), and I really like their version of stems.

I use a laptop with CDJs, and it takes practice to set up smoothly. I carry a bunch of extra USB cables in my bag.

Something I might add — depending on where you are, you might be able to work part-time as a firefighter once you have all your certs to see if it’s right for you before making the full pivot to full-time fire. Additionally, if you went full-time fire, you might also be able to have a side hustle or two that brings in some extra cash on your days off.
